Roof slop calculation

The slope of a roof is the ratio of the rise to the run. The rise is the vertical distance between the
highest and lowest points of the roof, and the run is the horizontal distance between the two points
where the rise is measured.

To calculate the slope, you simply divide the rise by the run. The result will be a fraction or ratio that
represents the slope.

For example, if the rise of the roof is 6 feet and the run is 12 feet, then the slope can be calculated as
follows:

Slope = Rise / Run

Slope = 6 feet / 12 feet

Slope = 1/2 or 0.5

So the slope of the roof in this example is 1/2 or 0.5, which means that for every 1 foot of horizontal
distance, the roof rises 0.5 feet.
