 ABSTRACT

“Old Age Home Management System Project” is a web application that provides an
end-to-end smart web application for old age people and old age homes. This
application is helpful for old age homes for keeping records of senior citizens who
live in the old age home. Each elderly people assign a registration number through
which person’s detail find so easily.

In the dashboard section, the admin can see all detail in brief, like the total number
of services, the Total number of senior citizens, the total number of unread inquiries
received, and the total number of unread inquiries. The admin can manage about us,
contact us pages, rules, and eligibility in the page service section. Admin can manage
services(add/update/delete). In the senior citizen section, the admin can manage the
detail of the senior citizen(add/update/delete) who lived in an old age home. Admin
can read a new inquiry (unread inquiry) and view the read inquiry. The user has the
following modules: homepage, services, eligibility, rules, and contact us.

The last century has witnessed a rapid increase in the population of the elderly
people in the developed and industrialized countries. This phenomenon is not
restricted to the western world only, but many countries such as ours are now feeling
the impact of this transaction. This situation could be attributed to a combination of
factors such as increase in age, longevity and decreased death rates due to
advancement in the field of medicine, improvement of life expectancy at birth, and
enhancement in the average span of life. India ranks 4th in terms of absolute size of
elderly population. The country is not adequately equipped to look after their special
health needs and the changing traditional value system. A feeling is now growing
among the aged persons that the attitude of the younger generation towards them is
not as desired.

Online Old Age Home management system is a web based application designed to
maintain the administrative activities of charitable trust. It is designed using
ASP.Net 2005 as front-end and SQL Server 2005 as back-end.Old Age Homes are
voluntary association is a charity based voluntary organization working towards
development & upliftment of society. They look after the elderly people with utmost
care and empathy in a pleasant atmosphere to lead a peaceful life till their last
journey.This web portal is helpful to gathering the helping hearts in the society and
tocontinue to survive by bringing together the hands of all likeminded people without
depending on Government for sustenance.

The aim of the project is to create a linking provision to the trust and the society.
More over the system permits the administrator to maintain the old age home
activities.

Web Portal for Old Age Home is mainly developed for organizing the process going
under the old age home. The system maintain the details of the senior citizens who
are unableto stay with their families or destitute.

The system has two types user one is administrator and another one is generic users.
Generic users can view the information about the home. Administrators have unique
id and password to logon the system. Admin only have permission to maintain the
details about old age home members, gate pass, health care details, visitors register,
sponsors contribution and other activities held in the home.
