BIOGRAPHY OF GABRIEL GARCIA MARQEUZ Gabriel Jos Garca Mrquez was born in Aracataca (Colombia) in 1928. Gabriel Garcia Marquez was born with the talent of write and composes poetry, books. But during his life he did a lot of things in the art world. When he was young, he attended high school in San Jose in 1940 and completed his secondary education at the Lyceum Zipaquir College on 12 December 1946. He was going to studied law so he enrolled at the Faculty of Law, National University of Cartagena on February 25, 1947, but without showing much interest in the studies. He thought he would be a good lawyer but His passion was to express and convey their experiences in writing either through novels, poetry or in some newspaper columns. So Gabriel Garca Mrquez decided to do the things that He was really interested the art of writing. His friendship with the doctor and writer Manuel Zapata Olivella allowed him access to journalism. Immediately after the "Bogotazo" (the assassination of Liberal leader Jorge Eliecer Gaitan in Bogota, the subsequent protests and the brutal repression of them), began their collaboration in the liberal newspaper El Universal. He had begun his career working for local newspapers from a young age and later resided in France, Mexico and Spain. In Italy he studied experimental filmmaking Center. Since 1953 works in Barranquilla newspaper El Nacional its columns reveal a constant concern and unblemished expressive style that reflects vocation, as he himself confessed, the influence of gregueras Ramon Gomez de la Serna. narrative development of an accuracy and intensity unsurpassed. His next major work, Amoren tiempos de colera, published in 1987. In 1982 he was awarded no less than deserved the Nobel Prize for Literature. chronicles, film scripts and several volumes of his collected articles: Textos costeos, Entre
cachacos, Europa y Amrica y Notas de prensa.

Recently, the Alfaguara publishing house has published a comprehensive biography of Gabriel Garca Mrquez, Viaje a la semilla, Dasso Saldivar. Finally, who cares the direct voice of Garca Mrquez may consult the book of interviews El olor de la papaya (1982). Or better yet, successive large volumes that constitute the author's autobiography, Vivir para contarlo the exercise of which, according to Garcia Marquez himself is basically a guarantee to maintain "the hot arm" between two novels. Whit this huge list of works that Gabriel Garca Mrquez did during his career; He is recognized as one of the bigest writers in Latinoamerica and aroud the world.
