ABOUT STEVE JOBS

1. Steve Jobs was born in California in 1955. He was adopted as


a baby. In school, his interests were art, history, and electronics.
In high school, Steve Jobs worked in his garage with his friend
Steve Wozniak. They built a computer together. In 1976, the
two Steves started Apple Computers.

2. Apple grew into a successful company. Another successful computer


company was IBM. IBM took a lot of Apple’s business away. In 1985,
Steve Jobs left his own company. He purchased Pixar Animation
Studios. Pixar made movies like Toy Story and Monsters, Inc.

3. In 1996, Steve Jobs returned to Apple. He became the CEO.


Jobs designed technology, including the iPhone, the iPod,
and the iPad. In 2011, Apple was the most valuable company
in the world. Steve Jobs died of pancreatic cancer that same year.
