Attitude to the subject: comment on whether the student is • interested; • motivated; • committed; • enjoys the subject; • mention evidence or examples Subject knowledge and understanding • Does the student have good knowledge and ability; • can they apply it to written work, practical assignments or exam situations? • Can they use their knowledge to support and argument? • give evidence • Do they have areas of strength? • Has the student read and understood beyond that which was expected. Skills include: • communication skills, • standard of writing, • use of media and graphics, • Does the student contribute in discussions and respond to questions in class? • Are evaluation skills and reviews good? • research skills and the range of sources used to collect data and information. • Refer to practical skills and challenging achievements Independent Study • refer to the student’s ability to work outside the classroom, • self-motivation and ability to cope with challenges faced. • Is the effort made consistent? • refer to coursework or large assignments Personal Organisation • Is the student able to meet deadlines and organise study notes? • Are they punctual? • Can the student plan and organise projects
