The Battle of Waterloo puts the end for 23 years of recurrent warfare between France and the other

powers of Europe. .It was fought during the Hundred Days of Napoleons restoration.
This is the big battle with the huge number of armies, including the Napoleons 72000 troop and the combined forces of the Duke of Wellingtons Allied army of 68,000 (with British, Dutch, Belgian, and German units) and about 45,000 Prussians, the main force of Gebhard Leberecht von Blchers command. Michel Ney and Emmanuel de Grouchy are Napoleons marshals. After the defeat of Prussian at Ligny th and the effort to hold Quatre-Bras in secondary battles on June 16 , they failed to attack and destroy the enemies while their armies were separated. Grouchy with 33000 men to made a laggard pursuit of th Blcher. On 18 June, he was tied down at Wavre by Blchers rear guard, while Blchers main force escaped him, rejoined Wellington, and turned the tide of battle at Waterloo to the southwest. At Waterloo, Napoleon has made a very serious mistake. He delayed his attack on Wellington from morning until midday just in order to make the ground dry. This delay gave Blchers troops the chance to reach Waterloo and support Wellington !!!. The Frances army totally had 4 attacks on Wellington to weaken the Allied centre. However, they were lost because they lacked of the combination of infantry and cavalry. Meanwhile, the French were standing on the defensive of the Prussian attacks. And the Prussian army arrived Waterloo gradually and put Napoleons army to the more difficult condition. To prevent the Prussians from advancing into his rear, Napoleon was forced to shift a corps under Georges Mouton, Count de Lobau, and to move several Imperial Guard battalions from his main battle against Wellington Finally, at 6pm, Ney massed up infantry, cavalry and artillery to attack and capture La Haye Sainte, a farmhouse in the centre of the Allied line. The French artillery then began blasting holes in the Allied centre. This made the Wellingtons army lost, and left him vulnerable to any intensification attack of French army. At this time, Ney needed the infantry reinforcement. However, his request was refused because Napoleon at that time was mad and pressured with the Prussian attacks. And after 7pm, when Napoleons flank was secured, he release several battalions of the Imperial Guard to Ney. However, by then Wellington had reorganized his defense and was helped by the absence of Prussians army. Ney led part of the guard and other units in the final assault on the Allies. The Allied infantry broke the guard infantry. This attack together with the development attack made by Prussian put Frenchs army into a panic, disorganized retreat again. Four days later Napoleon abdicated for the second time
