With the theme “Adaptability and Green Revolution:Mechanical Engineering a Catalyst for Industry 5.0”,
the 2nd PSME Visayas Mechanical Engineering Students’ Conference, organized by the Philippine
Society of Mechanical Engineers Ormoc - Kananga Chapter and the Junior Philippine Society of
Mechanical Engineers – Unified Chapters of the Visayas (JPSME-UCV), will have its face-to-face set-up
to be held at the Rose Grand Ballroom, Sabin Resort Hotel, Ormoc City, Leyte, Philippines on June
20-21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The said event intends to gather Mechanical Engineering students from different schools in the Visayas
regions to be acquainted and to further develop their ideals and aspirations. It also aims to enhance
potentials to further explore their horizon, to upgrade competencies, camaraderie, as well as to share
opportunities on advanced technologies that are more efficient and eco-friendlier.
To make these aims come into fruition, a CAD Training and Competition will be commenced to further
stretch out and hone the technical skills of our fellow Mechanical Engineering students in doing
computer-aided drafting and to improve competence in this aspect.
In this regard, we would like to formally invite the the students of your university to take part in the activity.
Guidelines of the activity are as follows:
● Each university should have a point person for us to be added to a messenger group chat for
easier communication.
● The training a free event and open to all. There will be no limit regarding the number of
participants per school.
● The duration of the training will be from April 11- 28,2023
