This is a step by step installation guide for COMSOL 6.0.

Please make sure that you are connected to the “SABANCIUNIV” network to have access to the
software directory and the license required to run the program.
This can also be ensured via using OpenVPN if the user is in remote location:

1. We need to access the software directory from the link:

Follow the installation instructions for Filezilla.

Following that, using Filezilla client, copy the address “software.sabanciuniv.edu” to
host part in the top left corner and connect:

Then navigate through “academic” -> ”Comsol” -> ”v6.0” directories as follows:

Copy the iso image to a suitable location in the computer to start downloading.

2. Now that the download is complete, the installation of COMSOL software can be started.
Double click on the iso image to mount the disk. If the setup window doesn’t show up
immediately, it should be started manually through the “My Computer” window.
Follow the instructions:
Make sure to configure the license as shown below:
You can untick the modules except “Heat Transfer” and “Structural Mechanics”.
“CAD Import” modules are also beneficial for importing different formatted geometry files.
Click Next and Install

The installation may take 5-10 minutes depending on your computer specs.
