To Whom It May Concern:

As a third grade teacher at Edwards Elementary School in Ames,

Michael has been working and volunteering his time and completing
classes at DMACC to familiarize with becoming an educator for the past
two years. Since he has decided to become a teacher he has really
flourished in the classroom, learning as much as he can and trying new
things. Mike enjoys being in the classroom and finds it rewarding to accept
the challenge of working with students who do not understand things as
easily or the first time. Mike is professional, friendly and sets a good
example for those in my room.

Michael began taking the classes through DMACC’s career

advantage program this year. He has done very well with this and really
has expanded his knowledge of how an elementary school works and
functions and what it means to be an educator. Being an educator is not an
easy task, but Mike is willing to put in the work and effort to become a great
one! I can recommend Mike for any education job that he decides to tackle
as he is eager, interested and would be a benefit to any school system.

Thanks so much for taking the time to consider this future leader for
whatever he sets his mind to doing. If you have any questions please

Sincerely,

Laura Clausen
