SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

This study was conducted at the different fastfood chain in General Santos City. Two locations
were selected; the KCC mall of GenSan and around the St. Elizabeth Hospital. The fastfood chains were
Jolibee, Mac Donald, Chowking and Mang Inasal. This was conducted February to April 2019 to
determine the arrival of customers, types of servers, number of servers, day and time of heavy
customers and the effect of the different variables to the quieting time.

In gathering the data personal observation was done. The researcher observed the arrival of
customers at three different times of interval. Observations were recorded and documented. This was
done from Monday to Sunday.

Result shows that the highest single arrival is in Jollibee KCC and MC Do at the St. Elizabeth
vicinity. With regard to group arrivals it is Jollibee for both the locations. Result also shows that there
more arrivals in group which implies that Filipinos prefers to eat with companions. These are group of
friends, business associates and families. This implies that fastfood chains are popular for group
meetings and celebrations.

In terms of number of servers, the highest number of servers are in Jolibbe for both the
locations. Further, the highest number of servers is during the third interval. This is because Jollibee has
to coup with the high number of customers most specially during the third time interval.

With regard to the type of serves, all of the fastfood chains in both the two locations employed
the series type. This because of its advantage over the parallel type.

It was observed that the highest number of customers in all the fastfood chains in the two
locations is mostly on the 3rd time interval followed by second interval. Further, the highest customers
are during weekends. This is because most of the students and employees as well as families wants to
eat their snacks and dinner at the fastfood chains and weekends are time for family bonding.

Lastly, only the number of server which significantly affect the quieting time. Result shows that
as the number of server increases, the quieting time decreases. This is because the customers will be
spread out. Hence, it is recommended that other study will be conducted to determine the optimum
quieting time.
