INTRODUCTION

Choosing the right skincare product to use is very important as your skin happens to be the
largest organ in the human body and its first line of defense.
Many people tend to neglect this fact and go for basically anything recommended by friends
and family.

Locally formulated products on the other hand that claim to be Organic and Natural, cannot be
trusted as there are no strict regulations. Any 100% organically and naturally formulated
product requires at least 30-60 days of constant usage for you achieve some result but
sometimes you hear some formulators call their products "fast acting" and "7days action".

Any product that can give you such instant result definitely contains steroids or harsh
chemicals that can be very harmful to the skin over time which is why after using a certain
skincare product for some time you begin to see discolorations on some parts of your skin, as
well as rashes, itchy face etc.

These chemicals help to boost the organic ingredients to work faster than normal but they are
very harmful to your skin over time, eventually leading to different skin disorders and skin
cancer at a later stage in life.

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of formulators who make quality, organic and natural
products but they are hard to come by as most people these days prefer fast action products
ignoring the future consequences.

In fact, when a skincare product doesn't lighten your skin quickly enough then it is considered
inefficient which is a very bad narrative to live with.

We apply a lot of beauty products daily on our face and entire body. These products may
contain some harmful chemicals that might damage the skin. In as much as we trust our
formulators to product 100% natural and organic products, we can never be completely
certain that they don’t add these harsh chemical additives to boost the effect of these
products most especially the skin lightening products.

This is the major reason we decided to put together a special offer for you which you will find
at the end of this e-book to help you enormously in your journey to a flawless skin and save
you cost of having to buy harmful and expensive products that will end up causing damages to
your skin.
SOME COMMON SKIN DISORDERS
There are various types of skin disorders that arise from using harmful skincare products and
some of them are;

1. Acne

 Commonly located on the face, neck, shoulders, chest, and upper back
 Breakouts on the skin composed of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, or deep, painful
cysts and nodules
 May leave scars or darken the skin if untreated

2. SUNBURN

It's hard to know how much time is safe in the sun, though, even with sunscreen protection.
Repeated sunburns, especially as a child, can boost the risk for skin cancer later in life. Usually
sunscreen needs to be reapplied every 2 hours, but you may just need to stay out of the sun,
too.
3. Rash

This is occurs mostly when the body reacts to a harsh ingredient in any skincare product that
was recently introduced to the skin. In some cases, discontinuation of the product stops the
allergy while in other cases you might need to apply some other ingredients or visit a
dermatologist.

4. Stretch Marks

Basically, when the middle layer of your skin undergoes consistent stretching, those layers
actually tear, creating a mark. When your skin lacks the elasticity to accommodate the strain
of the stretching, that’s when the tear happens and becomes evident.Using certain harsh
chemicals can also cause problems. Any product that contains chemicals like steroids
(Research shows that corticosteroid can weaken elastic fibers and break down skin collagen
significantly) will increase your chances of getting stretch marks. So yes, this is why some
people get stretch marks from using some bleaching creams.
HOW TO CHECK YOUR SKIN FOR DISORDERS &
CANCER
Follow these tips from board-certified dermatologists as they will help increase your chances
of spotting skin cancer and other skin disorders early, when it’s most treatable.

If you notice any new spots on your skin, spots that are different from others, or spots that are
changing, itching or bleeding, make an appointment to see a board-certified dermatologist.

Anyone can get skin cancer, regardless of skin color. When detected early, skin cancer is highly
treatable.

A skin self-exam is best done in a well-lit room in front of a full-length mirror. You can use a
hand-held mirror to look at areas that are hard to see, such as the backs of your thighs.
A spouse, partner, or close friend or family member may be able to help you with these
exams, especially for those hard-to-see areas like your back or scalp.

The first time you examine your skin, spend time carefully going over the entire surface. Learn
the pattern of moles, blemishes, freckles, and other marks on your skin so that you’ll notice
any changes next time. Be sure to show your doctor any areas that concern you.
Follow these step-by-step instructions to examine your skin:

FACE THE MIRROR

Examine your body in a full length mirror from front to back and then look at the right and left
sides with your arms raised.

Check your face, ears, neck, chest, and belly. Women will need to lift their breasts to check the
skin underneath.

Check your underarm areas, both sides of your arms, the tops and palms of your hands, in
between your fingers, and under your fingernails. Bend elbows and look carefully at forearms,
underarms.
SIT DOWN

Check the front of your thighs, shins, tops of your feet, in between your toes and under your
toenails. Look at your legs, between toes and soles of your feet.
Look at the back of your legs and feet, the spaces between your toes and the soles of your
feet.

Now use a hand mirror to look at the bottoms of your feet, your calves, and the backs of your
thighs, first checking one leg and then the other.
Use the hand mirror to check your buttocks, genital area, lower and upper back, and the back
of your neck and ears. Or it may be easier to look at your back in the wall mirror using a hand
mirror.

Use a comb or hair dryer to part your hair so that you can check your scalp. Finally, check your
back and buttocks with a hand mirror.
The best time to do a skin self-exam is after a bath or shower. Check any moles, blemishes, or
birthmarks from the top of your head to your toes. If you look at your skin regularly, you will
know what’s normal for you.
WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR
Not all skin cancers look the same. In fact, skin cancers can show up in many shapes and sizes.
Sometimes they might even look like other skin conditions. Many skin cancers are more
common on parts of the body that tend to get more sun, such as the face, head, neck, and
arms. But skin cancers can occur anywhere on the body.

Some of the more common ways in which skin cancers can appear include:

 A new, expanding, or changing growth, spot, or bump on the skin

 A sore that bleeds and/or doesn’t heal after several weeks
 A rough or scaly red patch, which might crust or bleed
 A wart-like growth
 A mole (or other spot on the skin) that’s new or changing in size, shape, or color
 A mole with an odd shape, irregular borders, or areas of different colors
HOW TO KNOW YOU BOUGHT A HARMFUL SKINCARE
PRODUCT
How do you know that the lotion or cream you bought is harmful to your skin?

Most times, lotion makers hide behind words like 'even-tone', 'skin lightening' and 'skin
brightening' to sell bleaching creams.

When people say they are trying to get more even and brighter skin, a fairer complexion is still
the result.

What differentiates all these nomenclatures is the effect they have on the skin and the
ingredients used to make them.

Some ingredients will give you a visibly lighter complexion without skin damage.

So how do you know that the cream you bought is bleaching your skin?

It has hydroquinone, mercury, cyst-amine and dermocorticoids. No matter the brand name if it
has any of these ingredients, be rest assured that it will bleach your skin. Others like kojic acid
and retinol should be used sparingly and discontinued if any reaction occurs.
There are certain allergic reactions that should make you discontinue such creams
immediately, they include:

1. Skin irritation and redness

If you notice that your skin is turning pink or red that is a fairly good indication that you
bought a bleaching cream.

2. Dry skin
Your skin looks pale, dry and scaly.
There is also swelling and burning, itching skin, visibly red veins and hives.

3. Mercury poisoning can lead to kidney failure, photosensitivity, memory loss and high blood
pressure.

4. A blue-black discoloration (melasma) in parts of your body like your face, legs and hands.
5. Using corticosteroids creams can lead to big painful acne in parts of your body and your
face.
Let’s say, unfortunately, you came across bleaching creams and began to use them, how do
you remedy the terrible effect?
Many natural home remedies can deal with the negative effect and remove discoloration
caused by bleaching creams.
Avoid using skincare products on your skin. Apply only the following

 Aloe Vera
 Apple cider vinegar
 Milk
 Green tea
 Tomato paste

Drink a lot of water.

You can also perform this simple test to know if your cream or lotion contains harmful
chemicals before usage.

1. Add a small quantity into a small lid or bottle cover

2. Add any homemade bleach for washing
3. Leave for at least 30mins

If the solution changes to a dark color, then the product contains harmful chemicals and you
are advised to discontinue usage to avoid having skin disorders and cancer in the future. My
best advice for anyone will be to learn how to make these products yourself and be 100% sure
of what you will be applying on your skin and prevent any form of skin damage in the future
permanently while still spotting a ravishing, glowing and amazing skin.
