Resume or summary

The poetry is about a student who wanted to invite a girl to dance and her only
requirement was he had to bring her a red rose. The student was desperate because in his
garden there wasn´t any red rose, suddenly a nightingale heard him crying so the
nightingale remembered he sang for him even though she didn´t know him. The
nightingale pitied student´s sorrow and wanted to help him to get a red rose for his girl
because she thought the student was a true lover and said the love is a wonderful thing.
Then a butterfly and a lizard showed up who were laughing at the student because for
them that was ridiculous. But the nightingale went looking for a red rose and she found a
lot of trees that had different colors of roses but none had red roses, she kept looking for
it until she found a tree with red roses and asked it for only one a red rose. The tree told
her that he won´t have any rose throughout the year but the price the nightingale had to
pay was high. The nightingale had to build it out of music in the moonlight and dye it with
the blood of her heart and she had to sing it with her chest against the thorn. She thought
the death was a great sacrifice in the name of love which meant love. She was decided to
die so she asked the student to be a true lover but he didn´t understand anything she said.
The student thought she was an artist because of her singing and the artists are selfish,
they would never sacrifice themselves for others.
The nightingale did it meanwhile the tree was crying because it was fond of her. Suddenly
a beautiful red rose blossomed on a branch. On the next day at noon the student looked
out and he was surprised- he hadn´t seen a wonderful rose like that. He went running to
the Professor´s house and gave his daughter the rose she had asked him but the girl was
so mean and said to him that jewels cost much more than a red rose, so she didn´t care
about it. The student was disappointed and decided to go back home and study again.
What I think of the nightingale's sacrifice?
I think the nightingale’s sacrifice was for nothing, I understand she did it because she
thought the student was a true lover and she wanted him to be happy, but the sacrifice
didn´t serve the propose, because when the student realized that the girl literally
humiliated him, he was disappointed and said the love didn´t have sense as a
consequence he stopped believing in that, all this was what the nightingale didn´t want,
she wanted the student to be a true lover.
