Updating Revolution Counters

ABB Robot IRB 2400l
If any of the ABB event messages 10036, 20032, 20082 are observed, this means that the robot has
lost its zero position. This can be caused by power failure, low SMB Battery charge, etc. This process
is necessary to the calibration and accuracy of the robot and is important to be done as accurately as
possible.
Warning! Updating the revolution counters incorrectly may result in incorrect robot positions,
misaligned or out of square parts and in some circumstances, may cause damage to the machine. If
any portion of the following instructions is unclear, please call support immediately before
continuing!

Jogging the Robot to the All Zero Position

1. Ensure the key selector on the front of the robot cabinet is in manual mode.
2. Jog the robot to its zero position.
a) Press the ABB menu, select Jogging
b) In the Jogging window, select Motion Mode, then Axis 1-3. Jog axes 1-3 to the witness marks
as illustrated below.
c) Change the motion mode to Axis 4-6. Jog axes 4-6 to the witness marks as illustrated below.
