Service Shortcuts

 Resident Self Test (RST Mode)


Ctrl + Alt + R
If not using the FSE SmartCard, a Resident Test Option might be
required. Call Tech support or use the Key Generator to obtain the
option key.

 Simulation Mode (while the system is booting up) *


Ctrl + Alt + S
The system will boot to this screen

*Some systems will show a U


U symbol at
the bottom of the screen when the system
is ready to receive the keystroke
combination.

 Service Mode
(for access to MS Windows® – FSE SmartCard required):
Setup  select the Service tab then click on Service

 View system Options, S/N, and current SW level:

systems
1. Press Setup
2. Press the Service Tab

3. Press Login Tab


Note: Use your IST Dongle or the Key generator and generate a code
for Service using the system’s serial number

4. Press Utilities Tab

6. In the View Logs Dialogue Box select the logs you want to
download. Application, System, and Dr. Watson are
typically what the NSS/ISS requests.
7. Press Export

8. In the Export Log Dialogue Box: Uncheck all except for


Diagnostic (Make sure you uncheck “Include Memory
Dump Files” unless specified by NSS/ISS)
9. Press either Remote to send to the server or Export to
choose to export to CD/DVD or USB.

Note: After you Press Remote the Export Log Dialogue box will
disappear.

10. Pressing Export will bring up another Export Log Dialogue
box.

Manual Export of error logs:

1. Press FSE Tools


2. Press Event Viewer

4. Right click on the log that you would like to export.
5. Select and Press Save Log File As..

6. The Save “Application” As Dialogue box will Open

7. You need to save the files as “.evt”


Hint: When Saving the log files, make sure you clarify the following in
the name of the file for later reference:
 Type of log file (application or system)
 System type
 System S/N
Example:
· Appl_HD11XE_US60873811.evt
8. In the Save “Application” As Dialogue Box make sure you
point it to the path you want to save the file to.
Example:
 In the Save in: Dropdown box choose your thumb drive.
 Enter the File name: (follow the steps highlighted in red
above for naming convention)
9. Click Save

Distribution Board
- Passes transducer signal inputs to the imaging system
- Power supply provides high voltage directly to the distribution board to fire the transducers
- Transducer identification signals from the SP board
- Transmit and receive signals from the T/R boards to the active transducer

Backplane Board
- E-box backplane connects all data paths between the T/R boards, MC and SPB
- Distribution point for DC power and ground to all boards
- Filtered high voltage to the T/R boards
- Physical and signal interface

T/R Boards
Demodulator Board - 32 receive channels each board (64 total)
- Digital filters and mixers for -Transmit pulse generation
demodulating 2D, color flow and -TGC amplification
PW RF data -A/D conversion -TGC amplified
- Independent transducer CW SUMMED -Summation of echo (receive) data PC
Doppler electronics and steerable CHANNELS -Transmit and receive beam forming
CW detector -Received signal is preamplified, - low-pass
- 120 Mhz system clock filtered and digitized except for CW

The diagram is a REFERENCE to show the sequence,


do not use it as a cabling diagram

1. The System is connected to the AC source voltage.


2. The Power Supply provides AC voltage to PC.
3. The ATX power supply on the PC provides standby
voltage.
4. The On/Off button is pressed.
5. The ATX power supply provides all other voltages to the
motherboard and PC components.
6. The APIO board is energized.
7. The APIO board provides the “AWAKE_N” signal to the
E-box.
8. BPAP passes the AWAKE_N signal to the Power Supply
through the ribbon cable.
9. Once the Power Supply receives the AWAKE_N signal, it
turns on all the voltages to the monitor, peripherals, E-Box,
and AUX Power.
