Cereal

The dusk departs as the dawn begins to rise, his stomach gurgles as it rains hard

outside. Tom entered his car, grasped his key and inserts it into the key slot and turns it.

It jerks and tries to spit it out, but Tom, knowing he can do it he powers through revving

the car engine to start. Unfortunately the stubbornness causes the engine to fail on him,

Tom smells the smoke exhaling from the car engine.

Tom dashes forward speedily as he examines the car hood. He opens the hood and

inhales a smog to the face, inhaling enormous amounts of smoke. Tom’s stinging eyes

cautiously adjust from the smoke as he looks down and he sees a wrench, Tom twists

the wrench on the rotten engine. The oil starts to emit, leaving a disgusting and noxious

smell as the rain conveniently starts to sprinkle. Tom suddenly hears “Vrrrrrr” and the

engine gears rotate. And the car engine begins to stutter momentarily. Tom's hands start

to slip as the crevices of his hands start to cramp up and sweat, he grabs the handle of

the car door as it starts to creak open.

The steering wheel prompted Tom to drive away. Tom accelerates, his tires skids across

the wet road. He zoomed across the road as all the rubbish and debris flew across the

air leaving grub and oil on his face. Tom persists as his face becomes more dirty,

disgusting and his shirt is still drenched from rain but he still needed to complete his

mission. The car begins to speed, as he enters the highway, the red lights start to bleed

with the rain. Tom's sight becomes impaired and his doubt begins controlling him, but he

keeps powering through the blindness.

Tom exits his car. He enters through the automatic doors feeling like he entered a new

universe. The Aircon blew the moisture away leaving his shirt bone dry. He walks across

the aisle then he sees an all familiar figure, his mentor. Tom’s Mentor provided

knowledge and wisdom to Tom but he refuses the proposal and walks away with

egotism and optimism. He thought that he did not need this information but Tom could

not find what he hoped for. So he returns to the obvious words ‘COLES’ on his sweater.

He swiftly turns a quick corner to the sight of an aisle. It began to become as cold as ice

as the aircon blew harder and stronger. He thought he was walking through a cold

blizzard, his hands cramp but he persists. He adjusts his eyes and gaze upon his

treasure the CEREAL!!!
