EXTENDED ABSTRACT

Title :- Appropriate Food At Appropriate Time Is Medicine For All Diseases.

Introduction:-

“Eat food as medicine otherwise we have to eat medicine as food” Improper eating
habits cause large number of diseases in population. The purpose of the project is to
improve the health of the society. The incorporation of proper diet plan give them relief
from many diseases. In these cases food acts as medicine. In chronic diseases doctor
advice medicine for life long but small changes in eating habits we can reverse chronic
diseases. Objectives of the project are to improve health of the community, reducing
dependence of community over medicine, encouraging farmers to grow millets.

Methodology:-

This project is based on both survey and experimentation. We have done


experimentation on some food items to check carbohydrate and protein contain. We
have done Iodine test to check carbohydrate contain and xanthoproteic test to check
protein contain of wheat, rice, milk, soya milk, vegetable juice, kodo millet, barnyard
millet, pearl millet, finger millet, foxtail millet, jowar, soya bean, groundnut, little millet
and sesame seed. On basis of this we have prepared diet plan. We have taken survey
of 300 people. In that 150 from village area and 150 from city area we taken survey-1
between (04-09-2022) to (20-09-2022) of 300 people and provided them diet plan. After
15 days we have taken survey-2 between (21-09-2022) to (06-10-2022) to see the
effect of diet plan in order to observe diseases status we have taken survey-3 from (15-
12-2022) to (25-12-2022).

Conclusion:-

From this project we come to conclusion that inappropriate food eating habits are
responsible for all health issues in society. The city people are more affected by chronic
diseases than villagers. People are not eating raw food on daily basis. They are eating
polish grains more sugar consumption which mean cause of chronic diseases. We can
reverse chronic diseases with suggested diet plan.
