Optical Inpection
Optical inspection delivers fast and repeatable images to enable well-informed decision
making. ZEISS provides a wide range of stereo and digital microscopes for ergonomic
inspection and reliable documentation at the shop floor and in material labs.

Optical Measurement
Automated optical measuring systems are increasingly replacing manual equipment. Thanks to the
high level of automation and ease of use with ZEISS measurement systems, complex measurements
can be completed quickly and reproducibly, reducing the influence of the operator to a minimum.

Metallography and Failure Analysis

Image analysis, composition analysis and/or correlating data from optical, electron optical or
3D non-destructive X-ray microscopy from ZEISS enables in depth material characterization
(e.g. gain size, pores, non-metallic inclusions) and the determination of root causes of failure.

classify particles; detect non-metallic inclusions – in manual or fully automated workflows.
