Sig Sauer P226 blowback and ejection rubber band gun by @walt.wil.778 WARNING! This is a guide for making a harmless printed rubber band gun. Check your lockal laws. Don't bring that to the public places. Never aim at people and take care of eye protection Have a fun! Big parts 20% infill, mechanics parts 100% infill. Remove all supports, brims, artefacts from printed parts. Sand it a little bit if necessary. Check if the rails on the frame and slide fits together. Print enough shells for the test. Tools: -Cutter with fresh blade -Drill bits 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm -Hand drill or electric drill -Hex keys 2mm and Imm -tweezers with curved ends -Sandparer with nr corn 120 -set of needle files -small Pliers Material list: -steel wire 1mm -instant glue -1 package loom bands -4x M4x8 hex screws -spring from a broken pen ( broke one in havent broken) -some small nails 1mm and 1.5mm diameter -small tube 1mm diameter, for example from a pen STEP 1: Glue right frame part together. Pay attention, that both holes are concentric. / FRAME RIGHT FRAME RIGHT OUTSIDE——, \ STEP2: Glue left frame parts together. Pay attention that holes are concentric. Glue disassembly lever in place. LEFT FRAME OUTSIDE DISASSEMBLY LEVER: STEP 3: Put both trigger parts together. Lock it with pins together and add some glue in the joit gaps TRIGGER HOOK —™™ A TRIGGER SLIDE—— \ \ A = PIN (1mm x emf STEP 4: Assemble blowback unit. Attach both hooks with pins through the holes. Don't use any glue. Pay attention that hooks can move free. REAR HOOK. BLOWBACK HOUSING —~ Pin 1.5mmx8mm FRONT HOOCK STEP 5: Install two loom size rubber bands rings in the square hole of the trigger hook. Fix it with pin. Place trigger and blowback assemblys in the grooves on the right frame side. Fix bands ends in the frame. BLOWBACK ASSEMBLY ——_ g ‘TWO LOOM SIZE RUBBER BANDS Check that assembled blowback and trigger units can slide in the groovs for- and backwards with no resistance. TRIGGER ASSEMBLY BLOWBACK ASSEMBLY. (Half section view) Check for right function! J Pressed trigger must unlock blowback unit. It must be able move backwards. BLOWBACK UNIT LOCKED sLowencx unr UNCED STEP 5: Put both frame halfs together, use guidance holes. Check that trigger and blowback units can move free. If everything ok and works properly glue both halfs together. FRAME PARTS STEP 6:Connect trigger and blowback units with 3 loom size rubber rings. Check for correct function: If trigger pressed completly, blowback unit must snap backwards realy fast. Trigger released - all goes in the basic position and locks. ca.16mm Q STEP7: Magazine assembly. Put magazine parts together and attach rubber band like shown in the picture. Don't use any glue for this step! Check for the right function. pin mmx10mm__y AI piece of tube / for example part from —— a pen Magazine tube ——— Follower \, \ / ‘ Bottom ed y)| esa) “rubber band STEPS: Bend following part from 1mm spring steel wire: r 3.6mm, 3.6mm 32mm I. 2.5mm 5.1mm, STEP9: Install bended wire part in the chamber part. Fix it in place with cover part. Glue this part to the chamber. ~ — STEP10: Connect chamber and slide with piece of loom rubber band. Use glue to fix rubber band in place. Insert chamber and barrel in the slide, and lock it together. Don't use glue here. STEP11: Glue slide hook in place. SS Slide hook ———~ Glue rear and front sights to the slide. Install small pin for the rubber bands in the front sight hole. STEP12: Press wire part ends through the ejection port together and bring the slide in place. Wire part ends must engage in the frame holes. Check for correct function. Blowback must work now. STEP13: Put RGB UNIT parts together. Don't use any glue. Check function. Slightly cut or sand rotor or stoper parts edges if necessary, so that it can cycle properly. \ Stoper aes we & 8 AY Rotor Releaser STEP13: Place RGB-Unit in the slade and fix it with M2.5 grub screw. No pre cutted thread needed here. M2.5 grub screw STEP14: Place magazine button and spring in the frame. Slide the grip shell over and fasten it with M4 screws. M4 hex + flat or lense head gripp shells mag catch button spring 3mm x 13mm. ma thread Your gun is now ready and can be tested for the proper function. Possible malfunctions: Gun makes loud "click" but nothing happens. Check if blowback hook can engage in the slide hook properly. Move Slide hook (violet) slightly for- or backwards Blowback and ejection are Ok, but gun has "return in to battery" failure. Slide return work not properly. 1. Check if it slide collide with magazine. 2. Check if blowback hook goes down properly. 3. Check slide return rubber band has enough power Rubber band gun function works not properly.
