“> Primary Education ‘English Keybook Preface AFAQ aims at developing curricula, textbooks, teacher guides and supplementary readers for educational institutions. Curriculum documents and textbooks are developed keeping in view the national educational policies, ideological foundations, pedagogical requirements and recent developments fulfilling all the requirements of ISO 9001 clauses. Although AFAQ believes in promoting creative thinking and effective learning of students, we also understand the need of time and have developed solution books for major subjects to help teachers and tutors impart learning. Another purpose of this effort is to support the government in its plan to make Urdua medium of instruction. All English books have been translated into Urdu and their exercises have been solved. Solution books for other subjects have also been developed on the same parameters to help teachers, tutors and of course students (indirectly). These solution books are written in a simple and easy-to-read language. Vocabulary and information is presented keeping in view the age and grade of students. It is advised that teachers should not confine themselves to the provided jatives on their own within solutions but also go one step forward by taking i their available resources. We are confident that these books will play a vital role in effective learning and teaching because of their easy and interesting style of writing. =AAQ. 1 Little Things I 2 Bobo gets Punishment 3 a 3 Thank you, Teacher! 3a 4 Kindness in Return 12 f 5 Climbing High 16 6 An Old Man 2I a In a Guava Orchard 2h 8 The Young Writer 29 i q Learn with Fun! 33 10 A Visit to a Hill Station 34 I Prayer ky 12 Helping Others 46 13 Honesty 50 1k Amazing Trees 55 15 Flying Adventure 16 Machu Picchu 65.0 17 Be Brave ii b) Comprehension Focus Answer the following questions. et Hie Lewire nes The poem is written by Julia A. Carney. Little deeds of kindness have much importance in our lives. They provide happiness to the gloomy hearts. They may comfort the broken hearts. They may make a weeping person smile. They can make us dear to our enemies and thus make this world a happy place to live in. In these lines, the poetess says that if we speak small words of sympathy and love and do little deeds of kindness, it is sure that this world will be as peaceful and pleasant as the garden of paradise named Eden.
