ROMAN LAW
The law of ancient rome from the time of the founding of the city in 753 B C E until the fall of the western
empire in the 5th century. As a legal system, roman law has affected the development of law in most of western
civilization as well as in parts of the east. The legal system of the ancient romans that includes written and
unwritten law , is based on the traditional law and the legislation of the city of rome , and in for conprises
legislation of the assemblies , resolve of the senate , enactment of the emperors , edicts of the praetors , writings
of the juris consult.

ANCIENT JEWISH LAW

Ancient Jewish law has not created by mosses in its final form ; law , being part of the nation’s culture
, is the product of a slow process of growth and development. Moreover , Jewish law absorbed elements
of other cultures and was particularly influence by ancient Babylonian. It is the significant for the close
relationship that exits between Jewish ethics and Jewish law that both emerge From the same source ,
the religious code . Jewish law is sacred , divine law . Its basis is the Bible and Talmud . Though both are
primary sources for the knowledge of Jewish law , it must be borne in mind that it was the task of
Talmud to interpret Gods word as proclaim in the Bible the existence of the law . “An eye for an eye , a
tooth for a tooth “ might lead us to regard mosaic legislation as being unduly serve or even barbaric.

CONDIFICATION OF ROMAN LAW

Roman law began as an attempt to codify a set of legal principle for all the citizens from 753 to 31 B.C
, the roman republic developed the jus civile or civil law . This law was based on on the both custom and
legislation and applied only to roman citizens . From this effort came the corpus juris civilis , a
condification of Roman law that became the chief law book of what remain of the roman empire.

STUBBORN LAW

The general court of Massachusetts Bay colony enacted a law in November 1646 providing among
other things for the capital punishment of male children that were disobedient to their parents .
Although death as a penalty was later remove and punishment fot disobedient daughters was added ,
the law was not repealed until 1973.
