Collccques | The Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI) is thankful to the Provincial and Districts EPI for supporting and cold chain management of polio vaccines for campaigns (SNIDs/NIDs) 2 The FDI and Provincial EPI Directorates always ensured timely and adequate supply of vaccines for Polio campaign upto the health facility level as per SOPs. However, there is a room for improvement due to non-uniform quality of implementation at lower levels. PEVEP! staff working at districts and below levels require refresher trainings especially on the SOPs for documentation and reporting of vaccine at lower levels. 3. In this regard, the National EOC Vaccine Management Team and FDIEPI has scheduled a training workshop aimed at building capacity of key staff in improving polio vaccine management with following objectives: + To create a pool of master trainers for trickle down training on PEI vaccine management. ‘* To train EOC/EPI VM teams for improved recording of PEVEPI vaccines stocks. * To strengthen capacity of district teams for formulation & functionality of vaccine management committees at respective levels for efficient utilization and reporting of PE! vaccine. * Dissemination of separate training packages for ToT and trickle-down trainings, 4. Training workshops will be held at Federal, Provincial/Divisional and District levels as follows: « Federal training: Duration: Two days training in Islamabad Dates: 28" — 29!" Nov 2022 Participants: Vaccine management focal person(s) at provincial level Facilitators: Cold chain specialist from UNICEF Head Quarter & Country office, NEOC VM/Ops team and FDI VM team © Provincial/Divisional training: Duration: Two days training at Provincial/Divisional HOs Tentative Dates: 1* Dec onwards (TBC) Participants: Two focal persons for vaccine management from each district Facilitators: Provincial Master trainers, PEOC VM team & EPI VM focal person * District training: Duration: One day training at District headquarters Tentative Dates: 1* Jan to 15" Feb 2023 (TBC) Participants: UCMOs/UC focal person for vacoine management. Facilitators: District VM focal person 5. It is requested to nominate ONE provincial warehouse/store person (preferably storekeeper) from EPI to attend Federal training in Islamabad. 6. Moreover, it is also requested to communicate all districts to nominate ONE district warehouselstore person (preferably storekeeper) from EPI to attend divisional training in respective divisional HQ.
