PUBLIC NOTICE :
Allthe Employers and the Contractors covered under the Contract Labour(R&A)Act,
1870 or otherwise are directed to make payment to their employees not less than the
minimum wages rates as revised and notified by the Labour Department, Govtof NCT.

October.

Any employer, who pays to any employee less than the minimum rates of wages fixed
for that category / cass of work, shall be punishable with imprisonment for @ term
Which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred
rupees, or with both,
All principal employers and contractors are directed fo ensure strict compliance of
Rule 26 of Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Central Rules, 1971. Violation ff |
any, shall be viewed seriously and penal action shall be inated against defaulting
| employers! contractors under the provision of Contract LabourAct, 1970.
Vide order dated 16.12.2011 issued by labour department all employers were |
directed to ensure payment f wages to workers through cheque orECS transfer,
in case of non compliance of provisions of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, the
ffenders / employers shall be subjected to prosecution besides componsation up to
10times ofless payment of wages being made to the workers under the Act,
