 • Students need to find a real life graduate job description and person
specification in their chosen industry, submit the job advert alongside
their tailored and fully completed application via Weblearn by latest
3pm the 10th of February.

• The application needs to contain the job advert, a cover letter, CV and
application form (application forms can be either specific ones from
the job advert itself or the generic one from Weblearn).

• As discussed all required material needs to be tailored to that specific

job advert, look professional and provide all information required.

• Extent to which you have shown evidence of job requirements/person specifications on CV

• Extent to which your CV appeared professional (layout, spelling, grammar, relevance)
• Extent to which you have shown evidence of job requirements/person specifications on
cover letter
• Extent to which your cover letter appeared professional (layout, spelling, grammar,
relevance)
• Extent to which you have shown evidence of job requirements/person specifications on
application form
• Extent to which your application form appeared professional (layout, spelling, grammar,
relevance)

• Week 11 – CV and cover letter in the computer room (please check your
timetable)

Christmas Break
• Week 12 – Application Forms and Online Profile in the computer room
(please check your timetable)
• Week 13 – make 1-2-1 appointment with your tutor to discuss detailed
feedback on assignment 1. Please bring a print out of your assignment
with you
• Week 14 – back in classroom to discuss quantitative research methods
