One of our staff members from the account office tested positive for COVID in a rapid antigen test yesterday. Although he does not come in contact with the children and he subsequently tested negative in a RTPCR test, for the safety of students we decided to randomly test the students who had a common cold or sore throat. We performed rapid antigen tests and found ‘one child positive and another with a suspect result. We have two hostel buildings, one of which is empty as Std. 1-6 are studying online. Thus we have the facilities to isolate and treat the students easily. However, due to the government guidelines being a residential school we will have to close the school and send the children home for two weeks.
