1. Data and information?

In principle, data may be anything from a statistic to a symbol to a message to a statement

to instructions to charts. Information, on the contrary hand, comprises data that has been
contextualised. Humans employed information in a variety of ways, including decision
making, forecasting, and so on.

A computer is a simple representation of information. To convert input into information,

a computer employs coding scripts, formulae, or software program.

Unorganised sector facts and information include texts, observations, photos, symbolism,
as well as item descriptions. To be more precise, data performs no significant function so
it doesn't have any intrinsic worth. Furthermore, data is stored in memory, which acts as
the fundamental measurement unit in both storage and computing.

Example

The data is processed, categorized, and published. It gives facts significance and allows for
judgement. A single user's purchase in this kind of café, for example, is data. Whenever the
corporation can determine the most popular or least popular dish, this will become
information.

2. Role of data dictionary in DBMS

Data dictionaries are used to offer more extensive information just on elements of a dataset or
database, including such measured variable names, distinct data or techniques, and text
content. A data dictionary is a useful tool for contextualising data. A data dictionary must be
included or referred to in Ag Data Commons (ADC) papers for datasets as well as databases.
The data dictionaries have to use the CSV format, which is machine-readable. The
program should be able to build a data dictionary for customers if the data is in a typical
relational database. This will result in a document that is likewise consistently structured and
has all of the necessary information for people to comprehend the material.

3. Database and database management system?

Even though the phrases "database" and "database management system" are commonly used
interchangeably, they refer to two distinct concepts. Furthermore, these two are crucial
concepts that people inside this technology business should know, but it seems that many of
them don't or can't.
A database is a conceptually designed collection of data which would be typically kept on a
computer or even other sort of hardware and accessible in a number of ways.

A database management system (DBMS) is a software programme, as well as maybe other

software applications, that allows users to access, connect to, and modify data in a database.

4. Attribute and a Field?

The word attribute relates to an entity's property, whilst the term field relates to the class's
data member.

Domains are utilized in order to classify qualities. A domain specifies the potential values for
something like an attribute. This information contains the type of data, quantity, content, and
other specifics. Domains for elements such as ProductID, for example, may define a numeric
data type. The property can indeed be adjusted to require a length or to permit a blank or
indeterminate value.

The phrases "field" and "attribute" are sometimes used interchangeably, however they tend to
be mutually exclusive. Fields, on the other contrary, symbolize a specific cell in a table that
may be accessed on almost any row, whereas attribute alludes to a design property of an
object.

5. User interface

A user interface is a representation of a database interface that a user can see. Interfaces are
quite often visible and, by design, at minimum somewhat graphical, and they provide tools
that enable database communication.

Example: Form based user interfaces

This interface is made up of forms that have been customised for the user. Users can
complete the bulk of the forms and add new entries to a database, or they may complete only
a subset of the fields and query everyone else. Nonetheless, the application might limit some
operations.

Form-based interfaces are commonly used and an important way to communicate with a
database management system. They seem to be simple to use and come with the extra
advantage of requiring no prior understanding of database languages such as SQL.
