As you can see we sometimes don’t even need to change verb at all!
You may also have noticed that there are various ways of saying the
word “you” in German making the distinction between singular you
(formal and informal) and plural you.
The formal Sie uses the same conjugated form as sie, so there's no
need to learn anything extra :)
Sie kommen aus Spanien.
They come from Spain.
Woher kommen Sie?
The German verb sein/ haben , like its English counterpart (to be/ to have)

5.Number
German Numbers from 1-100
Let’s start with the basics. Below is a table of the German numbers from
zero to 100. Take a few minutes read through it, then I’ll give you some tips
to help you remember it all:
There are no rules for these numbers — though I’ll share a simple trick for
memorising them later in the article. And it is important to remember these
numbers, as they occur, in one form or another, in every number you’ll use
when counting. For example, just as “eight” is in “eighteen”, “Twenty-
eight”, “eighty” and “eighthundred”, the same can be said for acht (“eight”)
in German. “Achtzehn”, “achtundzwanzig”,”achtzig” and “achthundert”.
0 null,
1 eins,
2 zwei,
3 drei,
4 vier,
5 fünf,
6 sechs,
7 sieben,
8 acht,
9 neun ,
10 zehn,
11 elf,
12 zwölf
Zwanzig 20
Dreißig 30
Vierzig 40
Fünfzig 50
Sechzig 60
Siebzig 70
Achtzig 80
Neunzig 90
And now this is where the German language starts to mess with your brain.
If you are an English speaker, you are probably used to saying “twenty one.” However, in
German, they switch the order and say “one and twenty.” They also run all of it together as
one giant word.
Luckily it's not hard to get the hang of. Here are some examples:
der -masculine
die- feminine
das - neuter
die plural
1.The definite article (the in English) in German has three genders i.e.
2. die for feminine nouns, for example, die Frau (the woman),
3. das for neuter nouns, for example, das Kind, das Messer (the knife).
4. die Plural
Example:
Lena ist die Freundin von Franz. (the only one – they are a couple)
when we’ve already mentioned something, or assume it to be already known
Example:
Das Eis schmeckt Monika sehr gut.
der-ein
die-eine
das-ein
Example:
Hier ist eine Studentin.
7.Possessivpronomen
ihr-euer-eure- your
sie-ihr-ihre- their
Meine Kindheit.
