To the Teachers,

This material is intended to help develop the learners’ competencies in ( MT1LC-Ib-1.1 )


noting important details in grade level narrative texts listened to: character, setting, events;
(MT1ATR-Ib-i-1.1) listening attentively and react positively during story reading and; (MT1PWR-
Ib-i-1.1) in giving the name and sound of letters Aa, Nn and Ii.

As facilitators of learning, use this big book to bring on the opportunity to develop the value
of obedience and of being sorry when one commits a mistake as you share the story to the
learners.

Nanay.
“Pakadto ha tindahan ni
Mana Alita. Palit hin anis
ngan asin.”
Dagmit nga dumalagan hi
Ana.Nalipay hiya kay
makadto hiya han tindahan
ni Mana Alita.
Pag-abot ni Ana han
tindahan ni Mana Alita
kumita hiya hin damo nga
mga tinda.
May ada mga abaniko nga
damo an kolor.
May ada gihap abaka nga
ginbabaligya.
May mga prutas nga
abokado ngan atis.
Pero nalipay gud hiya han
apa nga may ada pula nga
kendi ha butnga.
Nakahuna-huna hiya
pagpalit han apa.
“Hmm… karasa hini nga
apa,” siring niya.
Agidaw! Nangalimot hi
Ana han sugo ni Nanay!

Ana’s Errand

1. Mother asked Ana to run her an errand.


“Ana, please come. Go to Mana Alita’s store. Buy some salt and anis.”
2. Ana immediately ran. She was happy because she would go to Mana Alita’s store.
3. When she reached the store, she saw several things for sale.
4. There were colorful fans.
5. There were twines of abaca for sale.
6. There were fruits like avocado and atis.
7. But she was very happy to see a cone with a red candy on top.
8. She thought of buying it.
9. “Hmmmm… this cone is delicious,” she said.
Oh no! Ana forgot her mother’s errand!
