DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt on June 12, 1929 in the bosom of a Jewish family. The
Franks; Otto, Edith,Margot and Ana emigrated in 1933 to Amsterdamwhere in 1941 the horror of
the Nazi regime overtook them.The whole family took refuge in the back of aoffice building,
where until then there had worked his father. The entire Frank family would remain there, along
with four other people, plus two years of confinement.
Anne Frank, who shortly before entering the shelter had turned 13 years old, collects in her diary
the
avatars of the daily life of these eight people. Ana wrote her diary between June 12
of 1942 and on August 1, 1944. Her diary is written in the form of letters to an imaginary friend

Dear Kitty:

You have asked me what my favorite hobbies and interests are, and I would like to answer you,
but I warn you: don't panic, there are a few of them.
First of all: writing, but I don't really consider that a hobby.
Secondly: make family trees. In all newspapers, books and other papers I look for
genealogies of the royal families of France, Germany, Spain, England, Austria, Russia, Norway
and
Holland. In many cases I am already quite ahead, especially since I have been doing
take notes when I read a biography or a history book. Many paragraphs of history I even copy
them
whole.
And is that my third hobby is history, and for this dad has already bought me many books, but I
see the
time to be able to go to the public library to document myself!
My fourth hobby is Greek and Roman mythology. I also have a few books on this topic.
I can name you by heart the nine muses and the seven lovers of Zeus, I know them by heart
wives of Hercules, etc.
Other hobbies I have are movie stars and family portraits. I love reading and books.
I am very interested in the history of art, especially writers, poets and painters. The musicians
may come
later. I have a real antipathy to algebra, geometry and arithmetic. Other subjects
i like them all, especially history.
