Julius Caesar

Please write a piece about the main events of Julius Caesar's life.

It should be a page long (longer is fine).

The first half of the page should be descriptive - just research what
the most important events of his life and career were, and tell me
what they were. Dates would be helpful here too.

The second half of the page should be evaluative - you have to say
whether you thought Julius Caesar was right to do what he did, and
why. Try to include responses to the following questions:

 Was Julius Caesar right to challenge the Senate?


 Was Caesar right to take arms against Rome?
 Did Rome need changing?
 Was Caesar's assassination justified?

Remember to give reasons for your answers. Your evaluative


writing is very important - students writing a weak evaluative half
can get no higher than a B or a C grade.
