A young florist finds herself transported to a
magical island filled with various creatures
and has to find an old throne room in order to
get back home.
Description/ Elevator Pitch

This story is about a young florist named Robyn who turned her home into a greenhouse. Her
small business is going under, and she has lost the passion of her work. As she is working, she
starts to water her plants in her outdoor glass greenhouse. While moving to the back, her plants
surround her, and she is transported to the Mystic Isle. This is a place where unusual creatures and
bugs inhabit the island. After being chased by a large snake, she ends up in a giant trash pile. Here,
she meets the Fly, who is a humanoid fly creature. He enjoys adventuring and finding lost
treasures. He mentions to Robyn that he can get her home, but he needs the map first. They
retrieve the map from a group of pelicans on a rocky cliff by the shore, and later travel to meet
Beastie, who is a cat-like monster. She works in her own meat shop on the Isle and very much
represents Robyn’s hardworking attitude towards life, yet she used to adventure with the Fly. The
three go to follow the map in order to find the throne of the old King, which is a river that leads
into a cave. In this cave is a rock that the King used to go between the Isle and the human realm.
The three travel there on a large Tardigrade, grab the stone, and avoid being eaten by a giant
crocodile that guards the throne room. Afterwards, it takes until Robyn throws the rock into the sea
before a portal opens for all three to go back to the greenhouse. Along the way, Robyn learns to
appreciate the time she has and to let loose on life, as taught to her by the Fly, and learning that she
herself is becoming like Beastie, who is a stressed-out monster.
