Direction: Give specific example activities that will show in each of the following teaching
approaches using different subject matter; (5 points each)

CONSTRUCTIVIST TEACHING
Constructivist teaching is based on the belief that learning occurs as learners are actively
involved in a process of meaning and knowledge construction as opposed to passively receiving
information.Because knowledge cannot be directly imparted to students, the goal of teaching is
to provide experiences that facilitate the construction of knowledge.

Example of this is Cooperative learning where Students work together in small groups to
maximize their own and each other's learning, it requires interdependence among group
members to solve a problem or complete an assignment.

INTERACTIVE/COLLABORATIVE TEACHING
Interactive and collaborative learning environments can be very beneficial to student learning
like Students can develop a sense of community among peers and Students are given an
opportunity to construct their own knowledge base.

Example of this is Interactive Learn and Do,Interactive learn and do environments are
beneficial for students who are studying subjects that involve assessment activities that are
based on knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. Learning and doing are combined into
the learning process which allows for ongoing assessment of student knowledge and skills in
the classroom. These types of environments work well when students are working alone, in
pairs or in groups of more than two. Another example is Paired Collaboration,Group Paired
learning is useful for when students are not ready to collaborate in larger groups or have not
yet experienced collaborative learning. Students will feel less overwhelmed by the collaborative
process when they can work in pairs and it will prepare them for collaboration in larger groups.

INTEGRATIVE TEACHING
Integrative learning is an approach where the learner brings together prior knowledge and
experiences to support new knowledge and experiences. By doing this, learners draw on their skills
and apply them to new experiences at a more complex level.

Example of this strategy is Reporting discussion,by this strategy the students can actively engage in
an interesting discussion of the various ideas that the students shared with his classmate. Another
example is Film Showing Discussion,
Uses films, tapes, slides and televisions and after that, the discussion will follow.

INQUIRY-BASED TEACHING
Inquiry-based learning is a learning and teaching approach that emphasizes students’ questions,
ideas and observations. Instructors actively encourage students to share their thoughts and to
respectfully challenge, test and redefine ideas. With inquiry-based learning, instructors and students
share responsibility for learning.

Example of this are Case studies,Group projects, and Research projects.Teacher must demonstrate
how to participate, because students may not be familiar with inquiry-based learning, consider
demonstrating how to participate in an inquiry activity.Specifically, they must learn how to
Contribute ideas,Develop those ideas, and question themselves and group members in a
constructive manner
