Scenarios

1. Modifying Date and Time


 MacOS (Big Sur)
- Click on the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen and select "System Preferences" from the
drop-down menu.
- In the System Preferences window, click on "Date & Time."
- In the "Date & Time" settings, you can set the date and time automatically by checking the box next
to "Set date and time automatically" and selecting a time server from the drop-down menu.
- If you want to set the date and time manually, uncheck the box next to "Set date and time
automatically."
- To set the date and time manually, click on the lock icon in the bottom-left corner of the window to
unlock the settings, enter your admin password when prompted, and then click on the "Date &
Time" tab.
- Click on the date or time value that you want to modify and use the arrows or type in the desired
values.
- Once you have set the date and time as desired, click on the lock icon again to lock the settings.

 Windows 10
- Right-click on the date and time display in the bottom-right corner of the desktop and select "Adjust
date/time" from the context menu.
- In the "Date & time" settings window, you can set the date and time automatically by toggling on the
"Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" switches.
- If you want to set the date and time manually, toggle off the "Set time automatically" switch.
- To set the date and time manually, click on the "Change" button under the "Change date and time"
section.
- Use the arrows or type in the desired values to modify the date and time, and click on "Change" to
apply the changes.
- If you want to change the time zone, click on the "Change time zone" button under the "Time zone"
section, select the desired time zone from the drop-down menu, and click on "OK."
- Once you have set the date, time, and time zone as desired, close the "Date & time" settings window.

2. Setting up Desktop Background


 MacOS (Big Sur)
- Open System Preferences by clicking on the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen and
selecting "System Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
- In the System Preferences window, click on "Desktop & Screen Saver."
- Under the "Desktop" tab, you can choose from pre-installed wallpapers or click on the "+" button to
add your own image.
- Navigate to the location of the image you want to set as the desktop background, select it, and click
on "Choose."
- You can also customize the wallpaper settings, such as the display mode (Fill Screen, Fit to Screen,
Stretch to Fill Screen, etc.), picture position (Center, Fill Screen, etc.), and change the wallpaper for
different displays if you have multiple monitors connected.
- Once you have selected the desired settings, close the System Preferences window, and the desktop
background will be applied.

 Windows 10
- Right-click on an empty area of the desktop and select "Personalize" from the context menu.
Scenarios

- In the Personalization settings window, click on "Background" in the left-hand menu.


- Under the "Background" section, you can choose from pre-installed wallpapers, solid colors, or a
slideshow.
- To set a custom image as the desktop background, click on the "Browse" button under the "Choose
your picture" section.
- Navigate to the location of the image you want to set as the desktop background, select it, and click
on "Choose picture."
- You can also customize other settings, such as the picture position (Fill, Fit, Stretch, etc.) and
slideshow settings if you choose the slideshow option.
- Once you have selected the desired settings, close the Personalization settings window, and the
desktop background will be applied.

3. Outlook Preview
 MacOS (Big Sur)
- Open Microsoft Outlook on your Mac.
- Go to the "Outlook" menu in the menu bar at the top.
- Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
- In the "Preferences" window, click on "Reading" under the "Email" section.
- Under the "Message list" tab, you will see options for "Preview" with checkboxes for "1 line," "2
lines," or "3 lines." Check the desired number of lines to enable email preview or uncheck all the
checkboxes to disable email preview.
- Close the "Preferences" window to save the changes.
 Windows 10
- Open Microsoft Outlook on your Windows computer.
- Go to the "View" tab in the Outlook ribbon at the top.
- Under the "Layout" section, click on the "Reading Pane" drop-down arrow.
- Select the desired location for the reading pane, such as "Right," "Bottom," or "Off" to enable email
preview or select "Off" to disable email preview.

4. Show/Hide Desktop Icons


 MacOS (Big Sur)
- Go to your Mac desktop by minimizing or closing all open windows.
- In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click on "Finder" to open the Finder menu.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Preferences." Alternatively, you can press the "Command key and
"," key together as a shortcut to open Finder preferences.
- In the Finder Preferences window, go to the "General" tab.
- Under the "Show these items on the desktop" section, you will see a list of items that can be
displayed on your desktop, including icons for hard disks, external drives, CDs/DVDs, connected
servers, and more.
- To show desktop icons, make sure the boxes next to the items you want to display are checked. To
hide desktop icons, uncheck the boxes next to the items you want to hide.
- Once you have made your selection, close the Finder Preferences window.

 Windows 10
- Right-click on an empty area of your desktop to open the context menu.
- From the context menu, select "Personalize" to open the Settings window.
- In the Settings window, click on "Themes" from the left-hand menu.
Scenarios

- Scroll down to the "Related Settings" section and click on "Desktop icon settings" under "Related
Settings."
- In the "Desktop Icon Settings" window, you will see a list of available desktop icons, such as
"Computer," "Recycle Bin," "Control Panel," etc.
- Check the boxes next to the icons that you want to display on your desktop and Uncheck the boxes
next to the icons that you want to hide from your desktop.
- Click "Apply" and then click "OK" to save the changes.
5. How to Pin/Unpin Apps in Taskbar/Dock
 MacOS (Big Sur)
- Open the app that you want to pin to the dock on your Mac.
- Right-click (or Control-click) on the app icon in the dock. This will open a context menu.
- From the context menu, select "Options".
- In the "Options" submenu, select "Keep in Dock" to pin the app to the dock, or "Remove from Dock"
to unpin the app from the dock.
- The app icon will either be added or removed from the dock based on your selection.
 Windows 10
- Open the app that you want to pin to the taskbar on your Windows 10 computer.
- Right-click on the app icon in the taskbar. This will open a context menu.
- From the context menu, select "Pin to taskbar" to pin the app to the taskbar, or "Unpin from taskbar"
to unpin the app from the taskbar.
- The app icon will either be added or removed from the taskbar based on your selection.
6. Resetting Internet Browser
 Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon located in the top-right corner of the Chrome window.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
- Scroll down to the bottom of the "Settings" page and click on "Advanced" to expand the advanced
settings.
- Under the "Reset and clean up" section, click on "Restore settings to their original defaults."
- Click on "Reset settings" in the confirmation dialog box.
- Restart Chrome to apply the changes.
 Bravo
- Open Brave on your computer.
- Click on the three-line menu icon located in the top-right corner of the Brave window.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
- Scroll down to the bottom of the "Settings" page and click on "Advanced" to expand the advanced
settings.
- Under the "Reset settings" section, click on "Restore settings to their original defaults."
- Click on "Reset settings" in the confirmation dialog box.
- Restart Brave to apply the changes.

 Safari
- Open Safari on your Computer. Click on "Safari" in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Preferences."
- In the "Preferences" window, click on the "Privacy" tab.
- Click on the "Manage Website Data" button.
- In the "Manage Website Data" window, click on "Remove All" to delete all website data.
- Click on "Done" to close the "Manage Website Data" window.
- Click on the "Privacy" tab again, and then click on the "Remove All Website Data" button.
Scenarios

- Click on "Remove Now" in the confirmation dialog box.


- Close the "Preferences" window to apply the changes.
 Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon located in the top-right corner of the Edge window.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
- In the "Settings" page, click on "Reset settings" under the "Reset settings" section.
- Click on "Restore settings to their default values" in the confirmation dialog box.
- Restart Edge to apply the changes.
7. Change Search Engine
 Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon located in the top-right corner of the Chrome window.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
- In the "Settings" page, click on "Search engine" in the left-hand menu.
- Under the "Search engine used in the address bar" section, click on the drop-down arrow to select
the desired search engine as the default, or click on "Manage search engines" to add or remove
search engines.
- Close the "Settings" page to save the changes.
 Brave
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon located in the top-right corner of the Chrome window.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
- In the "Settings" page, click on "Search engine" in the left-hand menu.
- Under the "Search engine used in the address bar" section, click on the drop-down arrow to select
the desired search engine as the default, or click on "Manage search engines" to add or remove
search engines.
- Close the "Settings" page to save the changes.
 Safari
- Open Safari on your Computer.
- Click on "Safari" in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Preferences."
- In the "Preferences" window, click on the "Search" tab.
- Click on the drop-down arrow next to "Search engine" to select the desired search engine as the
default.
- Close the "Preferences" window to save the changes.

 Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon located in the top-right corner of the Edge window.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
- In the "Settings" page, click on "Privacy, search, and services" in the left-hand menu.
- Under the "Address bar and search" section, click on "Manage search engines" to open the search
engine settings.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon next to the search engine you want to set as default, and select
"Make default" from the drop-down menu.
- Close the "Settings" page to save the changes.
8. How to Search in Browser
Scenarios

 Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome web browser on your computer.
- In the address bar (also known as the Omnibox) located at the top of the Chrome window, type your
search query.
- Press Enter on your keyboard or click the "Google Search" button (represented by a magnifying glass
icon) on the right side of the Omnibox to initiate the search.
- The search results will be displayed on the Google Chrome window.
 Brave
- Open the Brave web browser on your computer.
- In the address bar (Omnibox) located at the top of the Brave window, type your search query.
- Press Enter on your keyboard or click the "Search" button (represented by a magnifying glass icon) on
the right side of the Omnibox to start the search.
- The search results will be displayed on the Brave window.
 Safari
- Open Safari web browser on your Mac computer.
- In the address bar (also known as the Smart Search field) located at the top of the Safari window,
type your search query.
- Press Enter on your keyboard or click the "Search" button (represented by a magnifying glass icon) on
the right side of the Smart Search field to perform the search.
- The search results will be displayed on the Safari window.
 Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge web browser on your computer.
- In the address bar (also known as the Search bar) located at the top of the Edge window, type your
search query.
- Press Enter on your keyboard or click the "Enter" button on the right side of the Search bar to initiate
the search.
- The search results will be displayed on the Microsoft Edge window.

9. Change Email password


 Gmail
- Go to the Gmail website (https://mail.google.com/) and sign in with your Google account.
- Click on your profile picture or initial in the top right corner of the Gmail window and select "Manage
your Google Account" from the dropdown menu.
- In the Google Account settings page, click on the "Security" tab in the left-hand sidebar.
- Under the "Signing in to Google" section, click on "Password".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your current password and then create a new password.
Click "Change Password" to save the new password.
 Yahoo
- Go to the Yahoo website (https://login.yahoo.com/) and sign in with your Yahoo account.
- Click on your profile picture or initial in the top right corner of the Yahoo page and select "Account
Info" from the dropdown menu.
Scenarios

- In the Account Info page, click on the "Account Security" tab in the left-hand sidebar.
- Under the "Change password" section, click on "Change password".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your current password and then create a new password.
Click "Continue" to save the new password.
 Microsoft (Outlook/Hotmail)
- Go to the Microsoft account website (https://account.live.com/) and sign in with your Microsoft
account.
- In the Microsoft account settings page, click on "Security" in the left-hand sidebar.
- Under the "Security basics" section, click on "Change password".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your current password and then create a new password.
Click "Save" to save the new password.
 Apple (iCloud)
 MacOS
- On a Mac: Go to "System Preferences" > "Tap on Apple ID" > "Password & Security" > "Change
Password".
- Enter your current password or device passcode, then enter a new password and confirm the new
password.
- Tap Change or Change Password.
 Browser
- Go to the iCloud website (https://www.icloud.com/) and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Click on your name in the top right corner of the iCloud page and select "Account Settings" from the
dropdown menu.
- In the Account Settings page, click on "Change Password".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your current password and then create a new password.
Click "Change" to save the new password.
