The shimmering night enrapturing everything around.

While the dark clings to every corner, the


light from the streetlamp creates warmth. Light that provides safety, sanctuary. The busy
bodies covering every square inch of the hall. Showing support for those they care about and
those they’ve never met before. Perspective. Seeing everything around you. Seeing the happy
faces of family and friends and the hope and happiness of the people around me. The
traditions to be kept to keep face and keep past memories alive, desperately clinging to life,
keeping it close to chest till you realize it slipped through your hands long ago.

Heartbreak, the feeling of warm hands while your heart pounds and you think “How can this
go wrong” Until there’s nothing left. What you think means too much means too little to the
other person. When your heart, your emotions, your entire being becomes so complicated, so
con icted. Telling yourself, do I care or did I force myself?

Gentle breezes gently swaying trees, the autumn leaves crunching among the cold shiver of
fall. You never truly appreciate the complex colors of life until you drop to your lowest and look
up. The stars, so bright yet so alone. That doesn’t stop them from shining and changing,
a ecting everything around them. Life is a mystery,
