GRAMMAR
The Past Simple
El pasado simple se usa para hablar de cosas que ya han sucedido en el pasado.
AFIRMATIVA:
Hay dos tipos de verbos, los regulares y los irregulares. Los verbos regulares forman el pasado añadiendo -ed al
presente, los verbos irregulares forman el pasado con una forma diferente al presente:
Verbos Regulares  play – played
Study – studied
Close – closed
Chat – chatted
Verbos Irregulares  go – went
Have – had
Break – broke
Buy – bought …

NEGATIVA:
Para negar el pasado simple tenemos que poner DIDN’T delante del verbo en presente:
+ She went to London in 1994.
-She didn’t go to London in 1994.
INTERROGATIVA:
Para hacer una pregunta en pasado tenemos que poner DID delante del sujeto y luego el verbo en presente:
¿ Did she go to London in 1994? Yes, she did // No, she didn’t
EJEMPLOS
+ They bought a computer.
-They didn’t buy a computer.
¿ Did they buy a computer?

+ You opened the window.


-You didn’t open the window.
¿ Did you open the window?
