Student Physical Therapist
Evaluated, developed a plan of care, and carried out treatment for patients with spinal cord injuries in an inpatient
rehabilitation setting as a full-time 14-week clinical rotation.
Participated in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings, maintained close communication amongst hospital staff,
as well as the patients and their families in developing their plan of care.
Assisted with patients on the traumatic brain injury and stroke floors if therapy was needed on the weekend.

Evaluated and treated patients in an acute care urban hospital setting with varying orthopedic, neurological,

Hands for Health Pro-Bono Clinic- Mount Pleasant, MI September 2021- August 2022
Student Physical Therapist
Provided physical therapy services under faculty supervision to a patient with a complete C6 spinal cord injury on
a pro-bono basis.
Performed weekly wound assessments and regularly communicated with the patient’s nursing staff to ensure that
they were aware of the condition of any wounds discovered.
Incorporated safe patient handling equipment, such as an overhead mechanical lift, to safely transfer the patient
and assist in positioning for performing exercises.

Rehabilitation Technician May 2019- April 2020
Guided patients through their exercise routines and provided instruction on how to properly perform the exercises
given to them by their physical therapist.
Aided in creating a clean and efficient environment by ensuring that exercise equipment was properly set up and
ready for patients to use and by restocking supplies that were used throughout the day.
Physical Activity for Youth with Disabilities (PLAY’D lab); East Lansing, MI
Undergraduate Research Assistant April 2017-May 2019
Analyzed and coded videos using DataVyu to provide data for various research projects.
Conducted the data collection and assisted with the preparation for the presentation of a study that examined the
behaviors of infants in the prone position.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
MOVE! For Health, Volunteer October 2021-May 2022
o Assisted in instructing exercises and utilizing proper guarding techniques for exercise classes serving
adults with neurodegenerative conditions including Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
Home Exercise Program January 2022- August 2022
o Implemented a program under faculty guidance for second year physical therapy students to make weekly
visits to community members’ homes to instruct home exercise programs.
Physical Therapy Student Organization, Volunteer chair August 2020- August 2022
o Communicated with local organizations to develop volunteer opportunities for physical therapy students
to enhance community outreach within the program.
o Led events such as a food drive, clothing drive, leaf raking at the Mount Pleasant Commission of Aging,
home exercise programs, and a spring cleanup at the local watershed conservancy.
