Reflection in Social Dimension

According to Mitchell Becky and James Malley in ‘A Pedagogy of Belonging’ feeling connected
to a school environment is critical to academic and social success for children. When students
feels at home and have strong relationship with peers and teacher, they feel more confident and
positive about their own individual success. Activities that mild community and academics
engagement help students thrive and feel excited about going to school. These initiatives should
include cooperate learning strategies in the classroom and out-of-class experience that encourage
social and interpersonal interaction.
This subject Social dimension of education its help me to become more involve in many
people and to develop my social skills which also support my own lives. This subject encourage
me to examine the places where a society may need improvement and know how society doing
its own goal.
Person like as is like Structural – Functional Theory, we have a part in our own society
and that was the parts that we have to work together for stability and balance of society. The
society has 6 part that was the family, state, school, media, economics and last but not the least
Church the most important part in our life. God has also give Human being a part to follow him
and love him in all things. Because God is the only man that give all our need even though the
society is also there for us only God can full our needs in our daily living.
As a student sometimes I don’t like or I hate encouraging people when they are feeling
down because I hate the feelings that they feel during they talk about their problems and
whatever it is. Because I can feel only the pity for them, especially when they are going to share
of their and I also have a problem. Honestly I don’t know what to do and to say to them.
Sometimes the things that they are going hear from me was ‘keep on praying God is always there
for you’ I don’t know how I can do that but sometimes I was thinking I’ve change a lot. This is
not me and I feel that. Just like the Structural – Functional Theory
it doesn’t encourage people to take an active role in changing their social environment, even
when such change may benefits them.
I taught a lot in this subjects I know what my purpose is in our society but its give me
more meaning and knowledge when it’s come in this kind of society. I also discover a lot of
skills on how the society grow every time. Even though we didn’t avoid to have a competence in
our society will it’s just normal.
Hoping that one day I well share this knowledge in other just like what my/our Professor
teach this lesson to us. And I well used this lesson or topic in my daily living with GOD.
