Journal #6:
In this assignment we had to talk about our pet peeves. And what I'm answering is that I have
two big pet peeves: lies and hypocrisy. I don't like people lying to them at all because it destroys
trust in a relationship, I remember a time when a friend lied to my face despite clear evidence
to the contrary. I also explain that I don't like hypocritical people, who say the opposite of what
they think, because that also erodes trust and can lead to lies. Trust cannot be 100% with
hypocritical people. What I need to improve in this journal is that I need to double space

Paper #1:
I reflect on the concept of important people in their lives who have died and instead bring up a
fictional character they are attached to: Naruto, the main character of a long-running animated
series. Naruto grew up alone and rejected by his village because of the demon in him. Despite
criticism and obstacles, he never gave up on his dream of becoming the most powerful ninja in
the village and finally achieved it. I admire Naruto's determination and loyalty to his friends, as
well as his sheer kindness and strength. I believe Naruto's story teaches the lesson that hard
work and perseverance can help achieve one's goals and that loyalty is an important aspect of
friendship. I think I could add more context: It might help to give a little more context on why
Naruto is important to me. It may help the reader better understand my point of view and
relate to my experiences. Clarify my ideas: Sometimes my ideas can seem a bit scattered or
disconnected. Consider organizing my thoughts more clearly and logically to make it easier for
the reader to follow my reasoning.

Paper #2:
For this job I had to choose an ad and I chose Nike's "Winner Stays", which features ordinary
kids transforming into famous football players while promoting Nike products. The ad takes
place in a park and then moves to a football stadium where players continue to transform into
their favorite professional players. The ad ends with a young boy taking a penalty kick and
scoring the winning goal. The ad uses humor and references to the benefits of being a
professional gamer to attract viewers. Nike uses appeals of ethos and pathos to attract
consumers. The ad is popular due to its reach, credibility through celebrity appearances, and
ability to capture attention and emotion. An improvement could be to include a more in-depth
analysis of the effectiveness of advertising in promoting Nike products.
Journal #4:
I share a personal experience of being cheated on by my girlfriend. Despite having a healthy
relationship, my girlfriend had cheated on me several times. Learning about betrayal broke my
trust in women and made me suspicious of people in general. As a result, I became hesitant to
trust others and developed a protective shell around themselves. I suggest that's not necessarily
a bad thing, because it's important to be careful about who you associate with.
To improve this text, I might consider giving more context to the relationship, such as how it
started and developed over time.
Use specific details and examples to illustrate the author's emotions and reactions to the
situation.
And be careful of generalizations, because saying “man is bad” or “I don't trust women” can
sound sexist.

Journal #7:
I like to listen to different styles of music but prefer rap because I grew up in an environment
described in rap lyrics. In this diary I say that I appreciate the engaging lyrics and the way they
address issues such as poverty, banditry and drug trafficking, which the author can identify with.
I also love the diversity of beats in rap, ranging from heavy bass to more melodic and chill beats.
To improve the text, I could provide more specific examples of rap songs I enjoy and explain in
more detail why I enjoy the messages behind the lyrics. Additionally, it would be helpful to
avoid generalizations such as "all the injustices that people face in cities" and instead focus on
specific issues that are addressed in rap music.
