The steps of the life cycle

Summary

Every living being has to be born, to grow up, to get old and to die.

The stops of the life cycb are:

a baby -->a toddler-->a little boy/girl-->an adolescent-->an -->an adult-->an


Oldman/woman-->a dead body.

The life changes

For every step of the life cycle,there is a period of time and a short description about it:

A baby: from the birth to there months or a litile more He/She cannot sit

down en move anywhere.

A toddler : from the fifth month up to on year and a half. He/ She can

walk with four feet but he/ she cannot speak

A little boy/girl (Child): from two

years until ten or twelve years. He/She can

walk, run, speak and doing many other things in life, such as :

studying,playing,singing,fighting.

An adolescent / a teenager: from thirteen years up to nineteen years. He|She can

do many things and he/she Knows what is good on bad for him or her. He/She is sometings
out of control.

An adult: from more or less of twenty

five years until forty years old. He/she

is reasonable and matured.

An old man /woman: from more or less fifty

years upto the end of his/her life. He/She is often afraid, tlred, sick and very careful

A dead : is a lifeless body

The articles

Summary

- There are two (2) types of articles which are: The indefinite article and the definite article .

1/-The indefinite article:

There are two (2) indefinite articles which are : a and an.

•a(un/une) : we use “a” in front of a noun starting by a consonant sound.

Examples: a boy, a cat, a girl …. etc.

•an(un/une) : we use “an” in front of starting by a vowel sound.

Examples: an apple, an egg, an umbrella ..etc.

2/-The definite article: In english , there only one (1) definite article : The.

•The (le, la, les, l’) :we use “the” for a definite person, animal or thing.

It is use when the speaker and the listener both know about what they are talking about.

Examples: the man, the woman, the sun .

THE BASIC ADJECTIVES

Summary

Definition :

The basics adjectives are words that we use to qualify someone,something or an animal. The
basics adjectives are also called ``The qualification adjectives ‘’. They come before a noun and
after a verbe.
Example : Bambo is an intelligent student

• There are three (3) types or the basics adjectives,wich are :

1. The short adjectives

2. The long adjectives

3. The irregular adjectives

• The short adjectives :

They have one syllabe,such as :Big,tall,easy,etc...

• The long adjectives :

They have two (2) or three (3) syllabes,such as : beautiful,peaceful,talkative,etc... • The


irregular adjectives :

There are only (3) irregular adjectives in english,wich are : good,bad and far

• Comparison :

Definition :Comparison is to compare two (2) people,two (2) animals or two (2) things together .

• Comparison with the short adjectives :

Form: Subject+am/is/are+adjective+er+than+Complement

Example : Abdul is taller than Hamza

• Comparison with the long adjectives :

Form :Subject+ am/is/are + more+adjective + than +Complement

Example : Sir is more interesting than other teacher

• Comparison with the irregular adjectives :

The comparative form of :

Good -> better

Bad -> worse

Far -> farther

• Superlative :

Definition : The superlative is the chosen or the selected one among many people animals or
things .

Example :Ousmane is the nicest girl

• Superlative with the short adjectives :

Form :Subject+am/is/are + the +adjective + est +Complement

Example : The basketball is the easiest sport in the world

• Superlative with the long adjectives :

Form : Subject+am/is/are+the most+ adjective +Complement

Example: English is the most interesting language

• Superlative with the irregular adjectives :

The superlative form of :

Good -> the best

Bad -> the worst

Far -> the farthest

Exemple :I am the best man for you .

Describing someone

Summary :

Definition:As a definition, we can say to describe someone means to talk about

his/her physical appearance and his/her behaviour.

Describe a person that you know well !:

This is Luffy. He is white skinned, tall size. He is slim.

He has small head with a straw hat. He has big eyes, medium and pointed nose , medium
mouth with white teeth. He haven’t any beard and moustache.He has a scar on his chest.He
has long arms with long fingers and long legs with long feet . His belly is flat and his back is
straight. He is so good, funny, instinctive and friendly. But he is very foodie, and can be
sometimes silly.

The types of shops with their main contents

Definition : The shop is a small place where a merchant displays his good to resell them.
Type of shops and there main contents:

The clothing store :skirts,pants,shirts,handbags.

The shoe shop: shoes, socks,spare laces…

The jewelry shop:necklaces,rings,bracelets,chains.

The grocery store : bread, juice, water , milK , biscuits, tin caro.

The cosmetics store:perfumes, hair oils,body lotions, make- up.

THE FUTURE SIMPLE

DEFINITION: The future simple is a tense that expresses an action or an event in the future.

Examples:- I Shall go in the Russia.

-Sangaré and Adib Will choose our school.

The Forms of the future simple tense:

Affirmative: Subject+Shall/will+Base verb+Complement.

Examples: -Dabo will play football in the stadium.

Mohamed and I shall finish our job tomorrow.

Negative: Subject+Shall/will+not+Base verb+Complement.

Examples: -My friends and I shall not study for the money.

-Helène will not fail to an exam.

Interrogative: Shall/will+Subject+Base verb+Complement+?

Examples: -Shall I take your bag?

Yes, I shall / no, I shall not.

-Will they speak English very well?

Yes, they will/no, they will not.

NB:

☆There are two (2) auxiliaries to conjugate the verbs (regular or irregular) in the future simple,
which are shall and will.
☆We use ‘‘shall’’ in front of ‘‘I’’ and ‘‘we’’ only.

☆We use ‘‘will’’ in front of all the personal pronouns; and it’s correct.

The contracted/short forms of :

Shall ---> ’ll.

Will--->’ll.

Shall not--->shan’t.

Will not--->won’t.
