STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study attempts to examine how primary school teachers in Consolacion use

inductive and deductive method in teaching the mother tongue-based multilingual education

(MTB-MLE) to students in Grades 1 to 3. This will seek to provide answers to the following

questions:

1. What teaching method do Consolacion teachers use in teaching mother tongue?

2. What percent of primary teachers in Consolacion use inductive or deductive method of

teaching?

3. How do the teachers present the method in the class?

4. How do these method help the students in learning mother tongue?
