The lottery: Summary Paper

by: Kent Aldwin G. Traboco

On June 27th, the people of the village began to gather in the square to participate in a
lottery run by Mr. Summers, who officiated at all major civic events. This tradition has been
applied for many years and includes several rituals that the town has simply forgotten, but
they still remember stones. As soon as the lottery begins, every member of the household
places their family names in the box. The winner has been decided after a long pause. Mrs.
Hutchinson draws a black dot on the paper, complaining about how unfair the lottery was.
Everyone made space, and Tessie was sent to the center. They picked up stones while the
children already had stones, and after that, they started throwing stones at her. A stone hit
her on the side of the head, Steve Adams is with Mrs. Graves in the front of the crowd.
