Grow a Massive Twitter Audience!

Optimize Profile

Set an actual profile picture

Add a Twitter header that depicts your profession

Add a bio that shows where you work, what you do, and one should care
Add your website to the link field, add DOB, and location (optional)

Niche down

— I started with basic HTML, CSS and now I tweet about React, web3, personal branding, etc.

It's really important to niche down when in the initial days

Post content from one domain only — JavaScript, DevOps, Marketing, etc
— It will make your visibility stronger and people will start recognizing you from your content
Interact with other accounts from your domain
At least reply to 5-10 people on a daily basis. Stop writing, "Thanks for sharing" or a short phrase

Frequency of your tweets

— I analyzed many profiles and one glitch I found is the inconsistency in the initial phase.

Start with Quantity over Quality — Post as many pieces of content as you can
Once you start gaining some followers, ➝ Quality > Quantity

Check out the Quality of this tweet — Very bad! 🤮

Check out the Quality of this tweet — Pretty good! ✨

Don't be a content bot

Keep at least 3 hours window between your threads/tweets to make them breathe
Occasionally post something related to your life, work, or any other details that would prevent you
from being a content bot

— Remember, Twitter is a microblogging cum social media site. You have to be a little social.

The right use of Hashtags

— Hashtags might be good for machines but not for human eyes, hence

If you have less number of followers, use 2-3 hashtags only

Use hashtags if you're talking about something specific — for example, #DevRelCon2022
I don't recommend having hashtags in your bio (optional)

Running out of ideas?

Write on difficult and tricky topics — for example, Event loop, threading, etc

Keep checking replies to your tweet — this will give you the fresh ideas and you'll keep yourself
close to your community

Build Trust

Help others by replying to their DMs, solving their doubts, and stuff

Seek for feedback so that you can improve and write better

Bonus 💡 Here are some content ideas:

— Post single tweets showing quick tips. Example!

— Handwritten notes, people will definitely appreciate your effort. Example!
— Short videos for better engagement. Example!
— Full fleged threads explaining a particular topic. Example!
— Single tweets with resources. Example!
— Power pack resources tweets. Example!
— Listicle threads. Example!
— Random and social posts. Example!
