SUB:PROGRAM PARTNERSHIP AND COLLABORATION

Dear Sir/Madam.

INCORPORATION Of TIWCF RA TO THE KFS SERVICE DELIVERY UNIT

We at Talal International Wildlife Conservation Foundation [TIWCF] humbly requests your

office to allocate our Conservation Ranger Scouts a chance to be part of the servicemen and
women leading as environmental enthusiasts hence forming the second organ of authority
working under the KFS Officers. Our organization is thrilled to have the opportunity In place
and in submission present our proposal to help the corporation; Kenya Forests Services meet its
goals and objectives as enshrined within the FCMA 2016.

We have sought to justify our intention, willingness to perform duties that will present good
look and ambience of this great Country through insurmountable efforts and pure synergy to
keep and restore our forest covers as required . Our conservation Ranger Scouts is comprised of
Young able youths from all corners of the country who have been trained on conservation
matters and this program is one to help empower them to other levels of development. The
program is dubbed National Eco-Training Program[NETRaP] Initiated in 2022 . Which stated in the
following Counties/Regions and still underway expanding to areas of major concerns.

a) TIWCF - Coast Conservation Region[Malindi cluster, Kilifi Ganze Cluster, Kilifi south
Cluster,Lamu Cluster, Tana Delta Cluster and Bura Cluster - 112[22 service women and 90 service
men ]currently undergoing their Training

b) Rift Valley Conservation Region -[Narok Conservation Cluster]- 8 service women and 13 service
men from Narok County.

c) Western& Nyanza Conservation Region - [Homabay, Siaya, Busia, Kakamega, Bungoma and
Kisumu Conservation Clusters]- 11 service women and 9 service men]

We did conduct our recruitment in Malindi-Shomani Girls secondary school and equal opportunities was
accorded to all who were aspiring to join TIWCF rangers team.Apart from the public involvement ,we also
did have a selection panel which comprises of pastors and bishops from different churches and who are our
conservation patrons in their respective churches in Kenya for our Foundation forms conservation clubs in
churches, mosques and CBO’s in different parts of the country. Through such, we have a membership base
of 236,000 conservation children whom are called [young conservation champions]

After a thorough analysis and assessment of the corporations National Forest Resource Assessment
Report of 2021 among them others of importance ; we found out that by incorporating our
trained conservation rangers scouts to the KFS service deliver unit , we will optimally manage in
a dual approach our natural heritage as a resource of great importance to the look of such a
country that boasts of being an international hub of touristic wide range of attractions and if
such is given warrant of care, we have to increase its Eco- friendly status quo to a more
sustainable limits.

By such ,we as TIWCF seek to help in the following areas but not limited to the same:

a. Use our conservation ranger scouts as a national human resource in restoration processes of
the degraded ecosystems in the country pending your incorporation of the youths to the
service delivery units through greater policy framework as a parent partner.

b. Seek to have TIWCF Ranger Scouts form the second organ of the KFS service delivery unit
Officers pending your incorporation of the idea into the corporation.

c. Seek to form resource centers within our conservation clubs across the county with the aid of
available resources both in the ministry, corporation and KEFRI.

d. Form Regional Conservation Eco-sites in different parts of the country that will aid in tree
planting initiatives; a Project dubbed Conservation Beyond Borders& By Community
Involvement - [CBB & BCI]

e. Create eco-friendly accommodation camps and campsites within our forests that will increase
revenue ; a diversified means of collection that if a great fiscal policy of the collection will be
initiated in a proper way alongside the CFA management teams will aid in creating a robust
value in economies of scale per revenue collected to the communities among other
stakeholders. This is a way to also diversify our tourism products and exercises to reduce the
pressure of the obvious brands only if marketed properly .

We will be grateful if the areas addressed in this proposal summary letter meets a positive
response and also hope to get a point of discussion to further discuss our intention of greatness
in length for more better understanding towards our call of patriotism with your honorary
office.

Sincerely ,
Benard Masaku Makenzi -
