Subject: STAKEHOLDER MEETING FOR TECHNOLOGY INTERVENTIONS FOR PUBLIC

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT REFORMS

A delegation from SAP led by Mr. Ahmad Al-Faifi, SVP and Managing Director of SAP
MENA, called on the Honourable Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives,
Dr. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary, on February 16 th 2023 to discuss the state of the Government
IFMIS and various interventions to maximize its utility.

2. The Honourable Minister requested the SAP team to consult with relevant
government stakeholders and prepare a roadmap for necessary technology interventions
in support of the Government of Pakistan’s public financial management reform agenda.

3. The Planning Commission is pleased to invite the following stakeholders for a joint
meeting to be chaired by the Honourable Minister to deliberate over the suggested
interventions and extend the necessary support to the reforms:

- Mr. Tanvir Butt, Additional Finance Secretary (Budget), Ministry of Finance

- Mr. Maqbool Ahmed Gondal, Controller-General of Accounts
- Mr. Hasnat Ahmed Qureshi, Deputy Controller-General of Accounts (Admin)
- Mr. Shehzad Hasan, Deputy Controller-General of Accounts (FABS/Accounts)
- Mr. Hassan Latif, Director General MIS, Controller-General of Accounts
- Ms. Noreen Bashir, Joint Finance Secretary (Budget) and Project Director (World
Bank P-for-R), Ministry of Finance
- Mr. Owais Ahmad, Director FABS, Controller-General of Accounts
- Representatives of SAP
