‘The above captioned subject matter isrelevant,
In this connection I am advised that an agreement was reached between the Chief
Personnel Officer and the Trinidad & Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association for the provision of the
Protective Gear with effect from the 1999 to Teachers in the following subject area:
Home Economics Labs -Chemistry/Physies/Biology
Agricultural Science Auto Diese!
Machine Shop Carpentry/Masonry
Welding Beauty Culture
Plumbing Air Condition & Refrigeration
Masonry Physical Education
Blectrical/Electronies
The Mini
try has now provided all the protective gear with effect from September, 2001
Inthe event that any eligible teacher claims to have incurred expenses in purchasingany of
the items of protective gear for use in the performance of his / her duties, the claims must be
evidenced by the provision of the necessary bills receipts and mustbe certified by the Principal and
forwarded to this Ministry for payment.
