DE001-Detect Proximity Incident Summary Report
Provides information on different types of violations that have occurred at the site. The report shows the viol-
ation details by operator, machine, both operator and machine, machine with another machine and operator
with another machine.
Provides information on the number of Level 4 incidents by shift and incident type, and the details of all prox-
imity incidents that occurred at site.
Health Reports
HE001p-Health Events
Provides access to historical deactivate health event information from the start of one shift to the end of
another shift. Identifies Machine and Event Description that have high counts. Identifies patterns within the
detail tables and identify the Event Description for each Truck that has excessive counts. Especially look for
events that are Level 3 as these are the most excessive. Also look for particular events where the duration is
excessively high. Use this report when a machine is scheduled for planned maintenance. Enter the Machine’s
name and the date range that encapsulates the time since its last planned maintenance activity. Use the
report to identify the major items that require attention on the machine as part of the planned maintenance
activity. After the machine is released back into operation re-execute the report to monitor those improve-
ments and repairs made.
HE002p-All Events
As per HE001 report, using Shift range prompts.
For Level 2 Alarms the filter includes only the following Event Descriptions - Air Fltr and Gear Select. This
report does not identify sensor failures (maintenance events) and will only show machine health events.
Identifies for Machine and Event Description that have high counts. Look for patterns within the detail tables
and identify the Event Description for each Machine that has excessive counts. Especially look for events
that are Level 3 as these are the most critical. Also look for particular events where the duration is excessively
high.
HE005p–Maintenance Events
Provides access to historical deactivate maintenance event information from the start of one shift to the end
of another shift.
The report looks at all levels of sensor failure events. It does not report on real health events and will only
show sensor failures as maintenance events.
Identifies for Machines and Event Description that have high counts. Look for patterns within the detail tables
and identify the Event Description for each Machine that has excessive counts. Also looks for particular
events where the duration is excessively high.
A trend is a type of data chart, which indicates how a parameter or channel value changes over time. The com-
bination of trend ID, trend type (e.g. minimum, maximum, average), condition definition and sample rate define
a trend.
This report provides information on all available trends like Trend description, Trend ID, Type, Condition, Inter-
val and Units. It displays each trend and performs calculations to determine the average, minimum and max-
imum values.
combination of trend ID, trend type (e.g. minimum, maximum, average), condition definition and sample rate
define a trend. This report not only displays each trend but also performs calculations to determine the
l Standard Deviation
l Coefficient of Variation
This report is particularly useful in identifying long-term trends in machine or component degradation or abuse.
High standard deviation and coefficient of variation figures indicates a high variability in the data and can be
used to quickly identify areas of concern.
HE011Ap–Histogram–By Machine–Detail
Provides access to historical histogram information for a shift range.
A histogram is a bar chart showing the frequency distribution of different machine channels within given
ranges, e.g., frequency distribution of payload, ground speed or transmission shift times.
The report displays both the count and percentage for each cell within each histogram for every machine.
Note: Snapshots that show a State change have been removed because BO cannot display this type
of trend.
A snapshot is a collection of multiple channel data that is triggered by one or multiple events. They capture six
minutes of data at a sample rate of one second. This six minute period contains five minutes of data from
before the event started and one minute after.
This report displays all the events that triggered the snapshot and the snapshot data itself according to the
channel group and/or channel information entered by the user.
Snapshots are a very useful tool to analyze machine performance leading up to and immediately after a sig-
nificant event has occurred.
The channels you enter will restrict the data shown in the snapshot, allowing for more focused analysis.
Note: Dataloggers that show a State change have been removed because BO cannot display this
type of trend.
Dataloggers allow for the storage of all machine parameter values at a sample rate of one second. The data-
logger can only be triggered and reset manually either through use of a service tool or via the VIMS keypad
within the cabin of the machine.
Dataloggers can be used to analyze machine performance and condition during predefined periods. Because
the dataloggers are manually initiated the machine operator is able to store vast amount of data during par-
ticular operational activities, e.g., loading, loaded uphill, braking downhill, etc. Supervisors and engineers are
then able to use their machine knowledge to diagnose and investigate the data retrieved to detect abnor-
malities or unique occurrences.
The report gives clear and immediate indication of the transmissions that require adjustment, the number of
shifts performed and the percentage of those that are outside of the target values.
The histogram settings reflect the VIMS Data Application Guide ver. 1.06. These settings should be reviewed
according to each site’s operating conditions and may be modified using the VIMS targets.xml file. Refer to
the Fleet Administration & Configuration Manual for further details.
This report allows trending of event frequencies by month, including pages for fleet summary and by operator.
You are able to specify the event definition.
Includes software version, suspension strut condition, last VIMS file download, IP addresses etc.
The office software implementation comprises only one part of the FPO specification: the Haul Road Severity
Index. This part of FPO only considers the "Traveling Full" part of the cycle, since this is when the truck is tra-
versing the haul roads in a stressed (loaded) state, and gives a good indication of the quality of the haul roads.
Only information that is pertinent to the calculation of the Severity Index is retained.
HE410Ad- Critical Trends-Single Report for All Machines and Series Vari-
ations
Provides access to historical critical trend information and exceptions for a date range. This report can be run
for any machine class and series variation provided "Critical Trends" have been defined in the xml files by
site.
HE420p-VIMS PM Planner
Provides access to historical trend information, data events and maintenance events for a shift range.
The trend settings reflect the VIMS Data Application Guide version 1.06. These settings should be reviewed
according to each site's operating conditions and my be modified using the VIMS targets.xml. Refer to the
Fleet Administration & Configuration Manual for further details.
The section on the Machine Name Table displays Trend ID, Tend Description, Unit, Trend Condition, Aver-
age, Max and Min values for selected date range.
HE501-Health Events
This report is a consolidation of the following reports.
l HE001p-Health Events
l HE002p-All Events
The prompts allow you to select Health Data and/or Health Maintenance events, All Levels or Level 1, 2 or 3,
as well as the machine.

TM055–Machines
Provides access to the mine model configuration information for machines and machine categories.
TM060-CurrentMachineStatus
Shows current status of machine, i.e. Ready, Delay, Standby, Down, Long Term Delay. This report is split by
machine category.
TM110-Scheduled Assignment
Provides access to the mine model configuration information for scheduled assignments and scheduled
assignment destinations.
This report is used to show productivity numbers from VIMS and can also be used to investigate other abnor-
malities.
Average Tons / Cycle can be used to, at the highest level, recognize loading efficiency and accuracy.
The fuel consumption statistic can be used to gauge machine performance – higher fuel rates indicate a
requirement for engine maintenance.
The % Travel Distance Loaded statistic is a broad method of determining the efficiency of the dispatch sys-
tem where in general terms any machine should travel less distance empty then they should full (this only
applies to certain dispatch systems under certain configurations).
With the detail contained in this report, the user can identify particular cycles and times that have excessive
characteristics.
Check specific machines for high fuel usage – given the mine’s haul road and loading characteristics this
could indicate engine and more specifically fuel injector performance degradation.
VC520p–10-10-20 Exceptions+Histogram
Provides access to payload exceptions using Caterpillar’s 10/10/20 payload rule for a shift range. The Unit
Category parameter determines the unit and bin size for the histogram. A unit category applicable for the site
should be selected, for example, “10.ton” may be selected for sites that use “tons” as mass.
