Specifically,a___—=—SS has been observed coming from, or returning to your address by way of Syracuse City Streets. This information has been vetted, and verified by Syracuse Police Personnel through various investigatory methods and practices. On July 12" 2021, in response to calls from the public for response to illegal ATV operation, the City of Syracuse Common Council approved two local laws that pertain to operation of All- Terrain Vehicles within the city. Local law 17-21a forbids ATV operation in any parks in the City of Syracuse, and Local law 15-422(a)(b) prohibits ATV operation on streets within the City of Syracuse. Both of these local laws carry escalating penalties, per violation, The first offense is punishable by a fine not to exceed $500, The second offense is punishable by a fine not to exceed $750, All subsequent arrests will result in fines not to exceed $1,000, or imprisonment not to exceed (1) year, or both. In addition to the penalties listed above, a police officer may immediately impound an off- road vehicle that has been operated in violation of Section 15-422(a)(b) or Section 17-21a of the City of Syracuse Local Laws. Every off-road vehicle impounded will require the payment of a 2000.00 redemption fee, prior to its release being authorized by a member of this department. The payment must be made to Audit and Budget Control, located at Syracuse City Hall, and will be in the form ofa money order. The payment of the redemption fee is non-negotiable.
