bid to release Kurt Cobain death photos
Richard Lee sued the city of Seattle to release photos of Cobain’s body,
believing the musician to have been killed by government officials

A Seattle court has ruled that photographs from the scene of Kurt Cobain’s death
will remain sealed from the public. In 2014, conspiracy theorist Richard Lee had
sued the city over the release of the images, believing them to support his long-held
view that Cobain was killed by government officials. Cobain’s death on 5 April 1994
was ruled suicide. Court documents state that the images depict “Cobain’s body as
it lay in the family residence after he was shot in the head”.

The court of appeals ruled in favor of Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love, and

daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, who had sought a ruling “permanently enjoining
the City from disclosing, disseminating, releasing, or distributing any death-scene
photographs not previously disclosed”, the Blast reports. Lee lost his original suit in
2015 and filed an appeal in 2017.

Cobain’s next of kin have previously testified in the case. Love has described his
death as “the most traumatic experience of my life. It left me physically distraught,
and I continue to suffer emotionally from the loss of my husband to this day.” His
daughter testified that she had no memory of her father, but “has had to deal with
the trauma of his death her entire life”.

In April 2016, Love gave a statement accusing Lee of trying to exploit Cobain’s
death, which he claims to have been investigating for more than 23 years. Love
claimed that Lee “stalked and harassed me, my family and my friends for many,
many years … On one particular occasion, Mr. Lee even filmed himself chasing a
limousine for several miles that he thought I was a passenger in. Mr. Lee’s actions

make me fear for my safety.”

Analysis:

Here we realize that a person is interested on discovering actually what happened,
some years ago Richard Lee had tried to discover more facts in order to know who
really killed Kurt Cobain. Here they mention that the court declared the package of
photos from the Kurt Cobain death’s day would remain sealed not taking interest
for finding out anything else than was declared. Kurt Cobain Was ruled suicide in
1994 but didn’t be quite, so he thought that government officials killed Cobain, he
wasn’t sure but he doubt it anyway, so he started to research more facts that could
help him. He was successful making the research, because nowadays that tale
continue, actually he is fighting against cobain’s wife, who obtained victory in this
case. Courtney Love who was the wife, has a daughter also, called Frances Bean.
Love used his daughter trying to explain or show that if she doesn’t want to show
those pictures is due to her daughter who suffered a lot when her had died, and
also throughout her growing she was affect by that. Then Cobain’s wife says that
she scared by Lee because of his actions. Since several times it reached the
degree of almost harassing her and her family.
Conclusion:
Well, this articles talks about the death of a music icon from United States of
America. This person killed Kurt Cobain belonged Nirvana a grunge music band,
which was very famous in 90’s. Kurt Cobain was a depressive person, and even he
didn’t like people though he played for many people in his life. So, he got married
with a girl from another band, Courtney love. In those times, minds were very
different than now, law, government, etc. So When Kurt was found died, many
speculations came to the light. Kurt supposedly leave a letter for his daughter but
that letter didn’t contain a coherent content. Also when Kurt died, he was much
drugged so, many people believe he couldn’t shot himself with a shot gun. Before
this event Kurt wanted to separate from his husband this because they had many
inner problems, and he felt alone even when he loved Courtney.
Courtney love didn’t want to lose all that money Kurt had. He was the frontman of
one of the best band in that era. So, it is thought that Courtney paid for killing her
own husband, in order to not lose his fortune. Then she paid to the government to
cover completely the situation by smoke. So that is why Lee wants to discover the
truth or obtain a better explanation about what happened and not just Kurt killed
himself.
I think Courtney killed Kurt, many thing happened among them, and both were a
little bit crazy so, I think that if Kurt couldn’t shot drugged, nobody excepts Love
would have wanted to kill him.
