Buns

500g plain flour/4cups

250 ml milk

1 tsp salt

7g yeast/2 & quarter tsp

1 egg

50g butter

3Tbsp sugar

Method

Mix milk and butter and warm on the stove but do not boil the milk

Sift the flour and salt into a bowl and make a well in the middle.

Put the yeast and egg in the well.

Then sprinkle the sugar on the flour.

Pour the milk mixture into the well and mix thoroughly,it shouldn’t runny

Knead the dough and put in an oiled bowl cover with a wet dish towel or plastic wrap.

Leave to rise until double in size

Knead aging to knock the air out of the dough

after the first rise cut into smaller pieces and roll into balls and place on a baking tray cover the tray with
a wet cloth or plastic wrap

Let it rise again

When it doubles again in size bake in a preheated Oven . I ALWAYS BAKE MINE AT 180° FOR 25 MINS
Doughnuts

Ingredients :

• 3 cups of flour

• 2 tablespoons of butter

• 7 grams of baker’s yeast

• 5 tablespoons of sugar

• 1 cup of milk

• 1 egg

• ½ teaspoon of salt

Method

1. Oven: Preheat oven to 180 C and prepare doughnut pans by spraying with non-stick spray. Doughnut
maker: Preheat the doughnut maker for 5 minutes prior to baking the doughnuts.

2. In a large bowl, add the cake flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix the dry ingredients
together using a whisk.

3. Add milk, melted butter, vanilla essence, and the egg to the dry ingredients and whisk together until
well combined. The batter should be thick and smooth.

4. Add batter to doughnut pans or doughnut maker and bake for either 15 minutes in the oven or 3
minutes in the doughnut maker. The doughnut should be golden brown.

5. Allow cooling before decorating.

6. For Cinnamon-Sugar coating: Mix together ½ Cup of White Sugar with ½ Tsp Ground Cinnamon, and
add the cinnamon mixture to a bowl. In a second bowl, melt 50g Butter. Dip the doughnut in the butter
then into the Cinnamon-Sugar, then allow to dry.
Creamy Cheese Cake

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons vanilla

1/4 teaspoon salt

3 cups sugar

6 eggs

INSTRUCTIONS:

In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time,
beating well after each addition. Beat in extracts. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; beat into
creamed mixture until blended.

Pour into a greased and floured 10-in. fluted tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours or until a
toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

Carrot cake

250 gms Plain flour

3/4 cup oil

200 gms sugar

2 tbsp orange juice & zest

4 eggs

Baking powder 1&1/2 tsp

Baking soda 1 tsp

Salt 1 tsp

350 gms carrots grated


Method:

Mix the dry ingredients keep aside.

In another bowl beat the eggs then add the sugar. Beat till it's pale in colour. Now add the oil gradually,
beat. Add the orange juice & zest. Then add the flour in batches & do the folding method. Then add the
grated carrots. Mix gently. Pour in a baking tin. Sprinkle the nuts,raisins,currants. Just swirl abit & bake
in a preheated oven @170°c & bake for 90 mins or till done.
