REACTION PAPER WHITE PRIVILEGE

In our lives, there are many things that we do not choose, that already come by default. And in
this case, the topic I'm going to cover today is one of them. The color of the human person's
skin is not something she can choose herself; it's given by the skin color that parents have.

I would love that right now, I am not writing this text, because it would mean that this topic
would be fixed. But unfortunately, this is not the case, and it is that racism is currently a widely
used tool (by those who use it, who impose superiority with it).

One point to highlight and which I think is very important on this issue is the globalization it
has taken. As I said before, racism is a tool used by those who use it, but what other people
may not know is that it uses it equally (indirectly). And if you want me to tell you examples, we
have many in the text I read, more specifically in the section "Daily effects of white privilege".
A section that is the one I found most interesting in the text, as it shows effectively the stark
reality of this situation. There we can see what it means to be one skin color or another in
today's world, the advantages, and disadvantages.

Already as closing and reflection of my writing, and not only for this case that I have dealt with
today but for all the inequalities that already today, I wonder if we have come to the world to
help ourselves and move towards a better future or to kill each other….

It is clear that this issue, that of racism, is difficult to resolve. There are a lot of people in the
world, and to understand something as simple as equality is not easy (I think so, but there are
people who already have predetermined ideologies that unfortunately will not change).
Finally, I want to end with a fairly common phrase in my life, "be worried about you" I was
told, and that's what everyone does with this topic if it doesn't affect you, it doesn't worry you.
