GLOSSARY

1. Pathography: It is the study of any disease.

2. Eutocic birth: That ends spontaneously, without complications appearing in


its evolution

3. Dystocic birth: When maneuvers or surgical interventions are needed to end


labor.

4. Hyper wakefulness: This is when a person's body goes on high alert after
something reminds them of trauma.

5. Cellotypical: It is characterized by the fixed belief of being cheated on by the


partner

6. Obtundation: State of the person who suffers a temporary loss of


understanding and the ability to reason or clearly realize things.

7. Behavioral: Of or pertaining to behavior

8. Aphorism: The aphorism is a brief and doctrinal sentence that is proposed as


a rule in a science or art

9. Biases: It is a defect in the design of a scientific research study or clinical


trial, or in the method used to collect or interpret the information.

10. Axiomatic: It is something evident, unquestionable, indisputable, undeniable,


sure, proven, clear, it is something relative to the axioms, which is not false or
doubtful.

11. Conative: They aim to influence the behavior of the recipient.

12. Syntax: It is a branch of grammar that studies the principles of ordering and
combining words.

13. Semantics: It is the relationship established between words that have the
same root and therefore have similar meanings.

14. Incisive: That deepens or penetrates to the bottom of things, or beyond what
is considered normal
15. Gutturals: It is associated with noises, screams and guttural songs. Guttural
noises are those that force the throat to emit sounds

16. Perplexity: The bewilderment or indecision that a person has about


something

17. Undermine: This is all the psychic damage that a person experiences due to
a dramatic situation and it usually brings with it damage to the natural or vital
assets that they possess.

18. Paralinguistics: They are those non-linguistic elements, such as laughter,


crying, gestures, mimicry, etc. that are part of the communication and
accompany the face-to-face verbal message.

19. Empiric: It consists of everything that is known without having scientific


knowledge.

20. Compenetration: Said of two or more different things: Influence to,


sometimes, identify.

21. Perinate: That affects or concerns the baby in the period immediately before
or after its birth.

22. Self-disclosure: That is, that the therapist comments to the patient how he
could have felt at a certain moment because of something that the patient has
said or done.
